I can't get the ZERO play 24bit/192000Hz sampling rate wihout crackling sound via optical tosslink, but I can get it nicely with coaxial, is this normal? The max I can go with tosslink is only 24bit/96000Hz.
Should I get new tosslink?

QUOTE(DarthMaus @ Nov 5 2009, 04:16 PM) In relation to the above post, what should the ideal sampling rate setting be? My setup is actually PC/Foobar/Wasapi/Realtek SC -> SPDIF -> Zero. Seniors, please advise. Thanks. 44100Hz 16bit, I just asked to test the DAC capability, can it do what it says in the specs. QUOTE(DarthMaus @ Nov 6 2009, 11:55 AM) ahhh... so there's no point setting it higher than the source. then again, even lossless is up to the max of 48000hz, where do I get sources that's above 48000hz? thanksĀ No point, even you have source at 192kHz, your ear won't probably notice the differenceQUOTE(mADmAN @ Nov 6 2009, 05:06 PM) sorry for the late reply...rarely in this section now.... and no i cant help out. coz i dunno jack about electronics... and ive also sold my ZERO to Vigilant @Vigilant the optical cable i gave u is the one that came with the package when i bought it.obviously its some cheapo china brand one la.but whether or not u wanna get expensive one is up to u. my colleague once borrowed that choseal optical cable for his PS3 into his Samsung HTiB. and he then bought a Phillips optical cable for around RM100 and he said he got significantly better sound from the phillips. says the choseal "makes the sound suppressed" and "that cable cannot make it, just enough to get sound only" the coaxial cable is the Canare coaxial cable with Neutrik plugs which i DIYed Will try that, but expensive thotypo edited This post has been edited by Vigilant: Nov 10 2009, 07:13 PM
