is there a splitter for 3 tvs? so far been reading about 2 way splitters.

just a confirmation....
satellite dish --> decoder (main hall)
from the decoder (main hall) have to lay RG6 cables to each tv in other rooms including of the IR controller cables too?

any other kind of cables that advise to use for astro? both the room is about 20meters away.

does that make any sense?

I also interested to know what kind of equipment that can watch astro by 2 tv at different channel with 1 decoder. Is there such a kind of equipment allow to do so as told by the forumer here.

If want to watch astro using 1 decoder for 2 tv, im thinking that you can use a wireless av transmitter to connect your 2nd tv..

wireless is abit expensive at ~RM300, whereas the repeater using the old TV anttenna (RG6 cable?) will cost you < RM100 inc of installation. However on the new Astro beyond, there is no RF out port..so u need additional RF-AV converter..

Oh BTW, this thingy is not new. I hv been using it since ~2003/2004

If u don't have the older Astro RF remote transmitter, Than just get the wireless AV transmitter will do..You can get this from garage sales...or certain eletricla shops /Jln Pasar..Here's one of the example:

http://www.lelong.com.my/Auc/List/2008-04D...reless_100m.htm

For those having the existing old RF remote transmitter..abit difficult bcos the new Astro don't have RF port!! U need to convert the RCA signal 1st to RF & thereafter to the RF remote tranmitter using a converter..My converter look like this:

hi...i'm planning to transmit astro to my new lcd tv and i want to use the wireless device but i got abit confused when i see the wireless av transmitter device (Hum brand), as i can see the connection output is RCA (yellow, red, white)...

my question is how are we going to connect it to the astro decoder?if i connect the wireless transmitter RCA (yellow, red, white) to the astro decoder how about current connection? fyi my decoder are currently used the s-video and composite (red & white) connection..so if i use the RCA connection to the wireless transmitter i'm afraid that current tv will not get audio signal sweat.gif ...so do i need 2 receiver (1 for current tv another for new tv) or there are any other solution?

sorry as i got confused abit, hope anyone can help me...btw where can i find this HUM wireless AV transmitter?seems its webpage also not available...

thanks biggrin.gif

FYI, HUM no longer available on the market. You may go to pasar road and ask around for alternative av transmitter. To connect 2 tv, may be you can get rca splitter to get 2 TVs connected.

Cables can be custom made, by AV shops ... cheaper than those prepackaged brand ones in stores

Coaxial is not as sensitve as hdmi or digital cables.

Whether use cable or wireless, just split the signal at astro output point ... any combo works.
