yup you r right!..ive tried using soft tyres..not much overheating ..hmm..but this physics seems a little bit hard to drive..without tc compared to original MMG.
*
Yup, a bit difficult to go fast for the experienced but very easy for newbies to drive quickly into a decent lap. The setup of this FSR is also not like the MMG which is confusing. Particularly the wings which is seperated into front by 50 notches and back by 20. I don't quite understand the need to have this kind of configuration. FSR is 40 notches wing setup front and back like all other F1 mods which makes easy for understanding the car balance immediately without having to unlearn yourself unnecessarily.

Waiting for mara the scientist to rebut my facts. hmm.gif Where is him?

The F1 car handling very tough in MMGSE  ...... How to configure?
*
First raise the wing to maximum front and rear. Drive slowly into corners and out of it. Understand the car first. When you are consistently lapping very very near -- hmmm how do I explain....

Say for example:

1) 1st lap - 1.28.5
2) 2nd lap - 1.28.6
3) 3rd lap - 1.28.4

and so on and so forth.... you are very consistent. Then you know that your driving is okay and the only thing needs tuning is the car.

Observe other drivers and never divebomb into corners. Brake first, drop gear not too quickly.

I never had a chance to peek into your driving style. So my comment must be reserved until I have fully understood your level of understanding of motorsports and science of cars.

If mara and pitt agrees, I will consult them on this matters. We will have one final test before giving it a green. I don't like to have full authority over this matters unless if I'm given the full mandate. We are working together as a team and the final say must be a team say that will satisfy every one in MSR. We will have the decision ready in next week if nothing important comes up.

hehe.... ok... thankss... crazyPC........ i'm slowly getting use to the BMW M3 GTR now..... but not the F1 cars..... ehehe

Sometimes real world and simworld are poles apart. So you have to fully immerse yourself into sims and think about reality. The first time I climb into F1 cockpit, I was terribly slow since the braking language/feedbacks of this car doesn't somehow translates back to me. When you are able to translate real world into sims, you become capable of feeling the weight of the car. You can't have this feelings if you are new. You need miles and miles of running just to be able to translate and compare brakes in sims and in real world and feel the forces acting its weight on the car.

Whoa....interesting find. Im downloading FSR physics now. I'll test it as soon as ....errr...after tomorrows race. haha. I must finalise my setup tonite or else i'll be eating somebodys brake dust or hitting the casino early tomorrow nite LOL.

I dont wanna be repeating PCcrazy's points coz as humble as he sounds, he is at the top of his game when it comes to setting up the car.

The only thing i wanna add is that with a physics modelling close to real life values and behaviour, there will be no more silly setup like max toe-in or super high engine brake. In order to really do these effort by a group of sim-yoda any justice, u have got to understand the principal of how cars behave and the principal of driving on the limit (coz just driving alone not gonna make u fast - and fast not necessarilly mean hasty in ur moves) - coz the principals involved are derived from real-life stuff.

PCcrazy ,
Ive noted all your founding. I prefer to work together so we learn from each other (thats PC's real intention....he's a spy btw LOL). So the collective effort will bear better durian...oops i mean results LOL.
*
Yup nice addition to the points. I missed that. We must do sim-yoda great justice. Mara actually I'm quite hesitant to comments when it comes to physics modelling. Between MMG and FSR, I tried looking at the positive points.

Who am I? I'm a spy----LOL

Alt-tab with MSR mod will crash rfactor. This happens to everyone and I'm pretty sick about that.

oic ok then.....sorry

just though since we already have tighter security for files on the forum u might want to use the system i have put it to full capacity......

p/s: since u guys did made that decision long before i was in and making those modifictaion to the forum. At least u guys could have a discussion about it and could put it in there as well.

IMO, the admin has the rights to MSR mod in its final state. Any amendments to the mod only shall be issued through mara and Evohahn. Once the files are verified by them it doesn't matter where the files reside. Be it in the server or rapidshare. But barring no changes to the original structure which could cause harm and confusion among members.

I think it's good for members to have access to the files themselves like what FSR and rfactorcentral did. But as I said Mara and Evo has the rights to final state of MSR mods. No changes can be made by anyone except from them.

Again, it's the admin decision. We are few in numbers it doesn't hurt if the admin responds all the time to file requested by members. But then again, I prefer the delegation method to limit the admin works on administrative things which take their time away focusing on bigger things such as promoting MSR.

True...but originally this mod is a PANAS mod and no awam muat-turun should be made available. We didnt have download section encrypted with password prior to the season.

The original idea is to have it like 'ok ure good to join/or already a member so we'll pm u the link'.
Now it can be 'ok ure good to join/or already a member so we'll pm u the link, and this is the password for the thread'.

Either way also can but to avoid confusion on who and where we can get the mod, its good to stick to the original plan for now.

Also, not to undermine Ir1z effort trying to organise things up. smile.gif
*
Oops maybe I get this the wrong way.

I'm also against this mod to be available to non-members. MSR name must be clean from any PANAS activities.

But what I tought was Iriz is doing the MSR mod distribution files thread with a use of password thingy available to members IIUC? I agreed to that idea. Anything is different that I'm not aware of?

walaweh!!!!

1.28....me only 1.31 with default set and havnt push hard with special set from bro pitt yet. will see how it goes tonite. hmm.gif
*
That only describes your car over one lap stint. If you can consistently do 1.31 on every lap, I think podium is quite there. It's no point one lap you are 1m28 and the next with heat up tyres you ended up in the walls or in the 1m35s.

I rather concentrate the setup on easier car to drive for the race. Meaning if you slightly goes off the limit, the car will not punish you greatly. The race setup must be manageable. Fastest lap time is nowhere indicative as a race performance unless you are proven to have an alien pace.

My advice, do a consistent 1m30s and 1m31s in 50 laps. That is pure challenge and will reward you handsomely.

When you are heavy, don't push too much, wait until the car is a bit light and brakes are warmed up. Then you can capitalize more.

Shah...UGPM.

Bro madnor, glad your father is on the road of recovery. We all here will be praying for a speedy one. smile.gif

Im all on a backfoot here...main issue is the mysterious loss of torque approaching the start finish line, although im quick thru the exit of the last corner most of the time, all the advantage lost with that particular prob.
Other than that, its fine with tyres, brakes and ride...if i can just get that one rite.

Hope there'll be a big turnout tonite...the biggest...make it 18 on grid!
*
Hmm, I keep getting that problem too. It seems that some of the wheels keep lifting off the ground and I believe more ARB maybe should have solved the problem.

I think it's possible to have 18. GG is on holiday still IIRC. I'm available too today. Then we have Shah rejoining (pls practise a lot to avoid people and walls and be fair to others). Hopefully sober is available as well.

Iriz is just plain unlucky. However sucks streamyx is, the rest are even sucker. As far as my experience tell me.....

Any news for the shortcut?
Can we use it or follow the track pit exit?
*
I think we better have the the tricky path rather than the green exit, the green exit will conflict with vehicle traveling at faster speeds hence creating traffic shockwaves phenomena.

I have no grudge against anyone. But I think you deserve a penalty for causing mess at first turn by ramming me, maranello and causing shockwaves phenomena as I said earlier. Madnoren is also a victim of this phenomena from the recovering mara.

I saw the replay, and by the speed you are going, you are never going to make the first turn anyway. I have to give the penalty, I'm sorry and I have to be fair to others. I hope you understand and still be with us. smile.gif

The admins will decide the penalty based on the rule of this season.

i understand the circumstances, will face the penalty which i deserve..but just curious, from da replay, y were u turning from inside, wasnt it abit too tight to turn from inside?then ur turn kinda block the way ppl at back too...i was trap bside leave me no choice but trying to cut in from there..anyway i respect ur decision ... notworthy.gif my bad tryin to find da wrong solution.
*
I have all the rights to the road because I was in front miles ahead of anybody. You know what, it's my intention to block people legitimately so that they can't pass me. It's legit hence no one complain about me. I did that on purpose, so does Alonso, Kimi, Schumi if you happen to come along replays of F1 races.

Yes I do mind. Stop being too demanding and prove yourself first before requesting me with anything. Having my help is a privilege. Pls earn it by attending race and show your worth. People give you the chance but you stick us back with other commitments. It hurts our pride.

Nope, if you cross the finish line in the stipulated time given, your qualy lap still counts. The same rule applies similarly to F1 qualifying.

Post race comments:

My first turn incident was quite hard to take since I'm already half car into the turn and yet couldn't manage to get away from the carnage. From then I had to battle all the way and manage to get second. The track temp is hot and hence quite slippery not to my expectation. As a result I didn't have the same pace as I have during practice. Overall the fight with pitt and Evohahn was the highlight of my events. They fight fairly and credits to them. I saw the gap to maranello was 29 secs and with few minutes on the clock I decided to call off the fight and cruise home with 2nd place. I'm disappointed not to have a chance to fight for the win.
