Hi cy6ex.

Age: 27

Weight: 110kgs

Height: 175cms

My goal: I want to lose most of my weight, perhaps getting my BMI down from obese levels to normal acceptable range.

Additional details: Currently I'm starting to use my exercise rider at home, starting from the lowest resistance for my workout with an aim to increase it later on. I'm not sure on how to approach or plan this kind of workout as I have never attempted it before. (I used to play basketball and that's it, and I rarely workout since getting into the workforce.)

In addition to that, I plan to control my diet too, any insight on how should I plan my meals for the day?

Questions: My working schedule requires me to be on shift duty, even on midnight. Any ideas on whether it would affect how I'm doing in regards of my workout plans?

Lastly, thank you very much, cy6ex. notworthy.gif

Diet = Not starving yourself. Its WHAT you're eating.

Control what you eat..oily food...fast food....etc etc.

Since its not easy to have a fixed routine as you are on shift duty, I suggest have a goal. Losing weight Fats

If you have to work night shift then plan for the next day have about 30mins for exercising the next day.

If you are not motivated then we can't even help you already =)

Hi Metalfreak.

Thanks for your advise, I'll try to heed it as much as I can.

Currently my diet consist of a full breakfast, and I try to skip lunch and dinner as much as I could.

As for exercising, this is the exercise rider that I am talking about. Has anyone here have experience using this bike.

I bought this equipment second handed without the manual, I wonder how do I set up routine using this bike. Please do offer any suggestions and opinions.

I wonder if it's already too late for me? Does anyone successfully shed their fats at my age?

Dear Tyler,

Never skip a meal. In fact, you have gotta eat at least 5-6 small meals a day to loose weight the healthy way.

Having breakfast is GOOD but DO NOT SKIP LUNCH and DINNER. you are doing more harm than good.

how to set up a routine? Just use the bike =D Cycle till you sweat...if you're not sweating..increase the bike's tension.

Dont worry about eating. 3 - 5 meals day. dont eat like a king lar.. Moderate service of rice(1 bowl) and more veg and more meat.

By the way...what are you eating?

Look at some of the member's journal to get a rough idea. =D be strong with your goals. we'll help motivate you ^^

It's never too old to do exercise.

Heck, back in Melbourne there's a 60 year old man who not only does weight-training the Melbourne University gym but participate in variety of marathon and bike ride competition, competing with the younger 20-30 years old people.

I reckon he is way healthier than I am haha.

Oh my, 10km a day, 70km a week. Can almost go to Malacca from KL.

Anyway, my advice to Tyler__Durden is to enjoy your cardio exercise or any exercise you would come by.

Start slow and steady and slowly build it up. No rush, take your time. Nobody becomes fit / low body fat in a week or a month takes quite a while. Maybe 3 months if lucky, sometimes 6 months to a year.

Thanks NOel, I'll try to follow your advice.

It's just that it's not easy to find foods that are healthy in our environment when eating out, and it's can be a hassle to prepare food all by ourselves.

I eat whatever my mom prepares me, mostly consist of rice, veges and meat. Though I can overindulge myself at times.

A question about food though. I have tried Atkins in the past and once shed quite lot of weight, as for now should I follow back the same diet or try to mix in some carbs into my diet? Am just looking for a diet that can help me lose weight fast.

Thanks again, Metalfreak. notworthy.gif

OK, just finished my exercise.

Currently doing 10 sets 10 repetitions with the bike, as of today my body getting less pain now, and I take less breaks in between the sets.

Should I increase the amount of sets or the level of resistance?
