It's never too old to do exercise.
Heck, back in Melbourne there's a 60 year old man who not only does weight-training the Melbourne University gym but participate in variety of marathon and bike ride competition, competing with the younger 20-30 years old people.
I reckon he is way healthier than I am haha.

Oh my, 10km a day, 70km a week. Can almost go to Malacca from KL.
Anyway, my advice to Tyler__Durden is to enjoy your cardio exercise or any exercise you would come by.
Start slow and steady and slowly build it up. No rush, take your time. Nobody becomes fit / low body fat in a week or a month takes quite a while. Maybe 3 months if lucky, sometimes 6 months to a year.
