anyone with bricked psp come to me~~
i give u foc charge for first service... just wanna test, the only bad thing is no guarantee but, lol... QUOTE(manxpro @ Oct 27 2008, 09:12 PM) anyone here know how to connect laptop and psp using adhoc mode. i tried to connect my psp so that it can share the internet. so lazy to get a router. Plz help!! wifi adapter.. according to your budget, i would suggest dlink or levelone as they got damn powerful driver & softwares. oh but they must support b/g signals. create connection in adhoc on your pc with the b or mixed signals & your psp should be able to detect & connect.QUOTE(manxpro @ Oct 28 2008, 07:50 PM) for the router there should be alot of decent brands suitable to your budget.. i got my aztech dsl600ew (usb+4 lan port+firewall+router+wireless b/g) at 120.. that was about 1 & half years ago. oh but pick one that supports b/g signals. that's important because psp can only connect to '802.11b' type signals. hey can u guys help me clarify whether this is true : the psp3000 will behave exactly like the psp2000 when it is not in the Wide Color Space setting (which is the normal mode)
http://www.gamingbits.com/content/view/4785 so dat means the psp3000 is worthy of my buck as i'm a new psp user? (Regardless of hackability) |

QUOTE(andysoh @ Oct 30 2008, 01:34 PM) wanna upgrade to new firmware...currently using 4.01 m33-2...i wanna try new 5.00 cfw for the new stuff like PSN,sleep timer.....need guide here Alright, since many requested for a guide on it,i've created this one. It's very simple, and if you follow the steps correctly, you should end up with 5.00M33 installed on your psp.Note : There have been many cases of bricks upon upgrade,so it's up to you to take the risk.Otherwise,it's all good. Requirements : 1)A phat/slim psp which has custom firmware 3.52m33-3 or any firmware above it. *Minimum requirement is 3.52m33-3* Guide 1) First of all,you need to set your kernel to 3.xx/4.xx.You can do so in recovery mode or in your VSH menu (if you have the VSH addon plugin installed) **Recovery : Hold the off switch for 3-5 seconds, then HOLD R and boot your psp up.Now go to configuration, and click X at the "Game Folder Homebrew" option until it displays as 3.xx/4.xx kernel.Example : On a 3.52m33-3/4 psp,it should show as 3.52 kernel. 2) Download the 5.00M33 installer here 3) Download the 5.00 eboot.pbp here 4) Use your preferred software to extract the 5.00M33 rar file. You should now get two folders (UPDATE and Translate) as well as a readme.txt file. 5) Copy the UPDATE folder and paste it in ms0:/PSP/GAME. ** It should now look like this : ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/eboot.pbp ** 6)Time,for the 5.00 eboot (step 2). 7) Copy the 500.PBP and paste it in your ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE directory. ** It should now look like this : ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/eboot.pbp and 500.pbp ** 8) That's all, seriously. All you need to do now is to run the installer on your PSP. ** The installer will seem very official like, but don't worry, that's how it's supposed to be like ** 9) Remember, once the update is over,PRESS X/O when it asks you to do so or your psp will brick!! 10) What else, enjoy! |

Thanks Playboy21 for the quick guide, just wanna remind whoever are doing the firmware upgrade to keep your PSP charge while doing the upgrade, else if your PSP ran out power half way during the installation, you will bricked your PSP.
