Suppose you are buying Bandai kits, chrome part shown on the box should be chromed one......
About color, it may be different since the box art will always placed those painted pictures.....
If they straightaway using the actual model kits as the box art, I dont think we can have this much discussing about BB gundam anymore.....

Since BB is that cheap, it wont be that detailed, colourful and poseable...... like MG/PG.
So, my opinion, modding and painting BB is much harder compared to those big stuffs......

I dont even have a chance to see a real HG Dendorium in front of my eyes here......
I wonder who owns it in M'sia, mind to show off here?

p/s: but if you look at those masters' work, this hypothesis doeant work anymore, as they will mod as much as possible, not matter is BB or PG......

Buying online? Use those extra one? Or printing yourself?
I have seen some site selling those decal printing papers......
Applying decals will make the kits look even nicer and more realistic.....

Finally get my model GD HG Akatsuki......
Going to build my first 1/144, but started with pirated one, what a 'shameful' start......

Anyway, anyone know to 'wash' out the so-called "chromed paint" on that Akatsuki?

Hopefully can finish it before CNY.... But I just have weekend to work on it.......

The chromed paint is not that 'real' chrome like bandai kits......
It is some sort like spraying some shining silver then use clear yellow on top of it, like most of us did it.....

For Bandai, their chrome part is really a chrome part, you can peel off a layer of gold instead of like the trick that I mentioned before......
I will take picture later tonight.....
And one thing, this model GD Akatsuki is not like Bandai one, will leave mark when cut the part out......
Those has HG Akatsuki would understand what I mean.....

As I heard some use brake oil to wash off the chrome part, and at glance, I saw that 'product' is car-related, so I tot you are asking me to use the brake oil.....
Who knows those are used for polish.....

Finally someone built SD Gundam Exia.....
Quite cool....

It should be another master's work, a bit like those keita's work (Did I spell it correctly? Or did I mention the wrong guy?)
I do hope I can see this kind of SD by Bandai one day......
