Those are converted MKV files to DVD format. I did that myself before I bought my PS3.

DVD format only 480p. So it can get best picture quality because of the source, but in no way can match the 1080p video of blu-ray.

Now that you have PS3, just remux and play the 720p/1080p MKV directly using PS3 lor, no need to downgrade.

If you want Ratatouille, go tumpang String quick. The Prada my wife want to buy lor, but still good movie.
