i clean the littertray daily... no need to change the bedding but scoop out the wet bedding only becoz rabbit only pee at one corner, not the whole tray.. try Woodypet brand. I oso satisfied with this brand but Penang got none.. must ask fren to buy from kl..

*
if pee nia i think ok.
but the problem is the poopS.
there are everywhere. first i try to scoop it out.
but then there are too many.
so the best way it to change them.

anyway, just wan to share with you all.
my rabbit like to snift everything.
but the strange thing is, they like to snift my butt.
everytime i sit there cleaning their poops, they will come and snift at my butt.
wonder if i fart suddenly, what is their reaction? sweat.gif

my rabbits never like me to touch them.
they will escape whenever i wan to touch them.
so i just let them play on their own.

by the way, how do you guy catch the rabbits?
on the ears? the neck like how you catch the kitty ? or how?
i catch my rabbit by slidding my hands under their abdomen and slowly lift them.
can not lift to high or they will tremble in fear.
but then like to struggle and run when you hold them.
so have to do it fast. just curious the rite way to handle them.

tomorrow wake up saw, rabbits penyek on my bed.
you sleep with ur rabbit? they no poop and pee on bed?

QUOTE(wchui22061985 @ Apr 16 2008, 05:12 PM)
hehe same for mine also. each time i try to get close to my rabbits, they sure run away. unless they know got food ler... so usually i let them out, they will run on their own. it's definitely not advisable to catch them by their ears, it would cause dislocation of their ears. i usually do it like u. slid your hand on their abdomen, then use another hand to support their hind legs. if you want to hold them longer, just put them towards your chest. it would let them have a sense of security blush.gif.
*
my rabbit don like ppl touch their legs. not even front legs.
i normally touch their butt.
will try the chest thingy.

i can understand you pain about the poop and the pee. cry.gif
my rabbit now also like that, and they are 3 months old.
i need to change their bedding twice in 3 days so imagine the process.
every morning i need to wake up one hours earlier just to scoop their poop and after work also need to spend on hours to scoop their poop.
then play with them for another 2 hours.
now practice how to look after kids. later sure no problem one.

just curious, did your rabbit attack you?
my rabbit attack me yesterday when i was scooping their poop.
normally i let the out and play outside while i was scooping their poops and cleaning their house.
then suddenly bambi come and attack me.
he bite the spoon and i push him away. then he bite my hand and i though he was playing.
but suddenly he bite very strong and i was shock.
i push him away again and he charge at me and use his front hand to paddle me.
i'm very confirm he wasn't playing as he was make the hissing sound and very furious like the car in the fast and furious, tokyo drift.

is this normal?
i quickly put them back into their house and went to bed.
this morning when i touch another bunny he charged at me again.
i can not even refill their food. my sis told me to slap his butt. =.='''

he is not like this normally. have you guyz experience this before?

Sexual maturity makes them aggresive. If want to fix it, its time to neuter/spay your bunny. Mine also attack and bite humans occasionally b4 I spay them.
*
i do have the intention of spaying and neuter the rabbit but they are just 3 month old.
do you guy think the rabbit also like us nowadays?
getting mature faster and puppy love like in 12 years old?
i din feed them KFC and McD wor. should be in normal condition de.

Huhu... I always wanted to rear rabbits, haven't got the chance to rear cause currently staying in Condo, no proper place. Anyway, love seeing all the cutie pics.. smile.gif
*
i also stay in condo.
it's very inconvenience but as long as you keep an eye on them should be ok.
Bring them out for some fresh air from time to time.
You'll find that rabbit are easier to keep than other animal.
And they are cute too. ^.^

house rabbit rarely transfer diseases as they are relatively clean and seldom exposed to the outside but that would not be none.
what i heard before is Tularemia. maybe someone expert can clarify out.
also watch out for the nails. it may transfer diseases if scratches accientally.

can rabbits eat cucumber? just wondering! ehehe =)
*
Small amounts of cucumber will not hurt your rabbit. however, it should only be given as a treat and occasionally.
Cucumber contains a lot of moisture, and should be grouped with iceberg lettuce as a "wet vegetable".
Buns and other small animal like genuie pig, should not eat large amounts of these wet vegetables, as they can cause diarrhea.

cucumber is a good source of vit c. it's a valuable low energy and high moisture food.
good during hot season.
i got it somewhere when i browse for rabbit food. forget where liaw but credit goes to that person

Good diet plan there. Looking at how difficult it is to get quality pellets, that seemed to be the best diet plans for our rabbits in Malaysia. You might want to add fresh vegetables and also, changing Hagen to some better brand would be best. Hagen is junk just like Britter bunny. Do not know why petstore suppliers waste their time and money on crap brands like these. That shows how much they know about rabbits.
*
hagen and britter bunny is the easiest brand to be available.
like in pet safari you can see a whole big section selling britter. buy 2 got free one somemore.

errr, chubby bunny not good ka?
i feed my bunnies unlimited food.
i scare later they went into obesity and turn into sumo rabbits.

u must be kidding me la. If you want a computer mouse size rabbit, u can only have for few weeks only. 14 days old rabbit can be the size of a mouse la....

unless you can find ways to keep a 14 days old rabbit from growing, I do not think u will ever get that small rabbit. The smallest breed is Netherland Dwarf and that also not that VERY SMALL la.

Maybe u can consider hamster with plastic surgery to extend the ears.
*
hahaha, i saw a show got magician perform magic using rabbits.
and the rabbits all so small and cute.

i only can recognize dwarf hotot. other breed i don know.
too bad he pull the rabbit up at their ears.
to those who don know about rabbit they will clap.
to those who know, it can dislocate the rabbit ears.

Hi everybody.. i'm new here...

few days ago i hv bought 3 little mix angora bunnies age bout 6 weeks old.

can sum1 plez provide me some info how to care n handle this bunny?

the seller said the bunny only can drink only 1 time/day.

my housemate always play with them, it there any effect for the bunnies?
*
i wasn;t too sure what is the drink here mean.
you mean the milk?
as for me, last time when i got my rabbit, i provide them with unlimited access to drink and food.
they are 3 month old now but still i provide them with unlimited access to alfafa hay and pellets and water.
was wondering will 6 weeks need more care from the parent?
to me, they look too young.
hope someone, sangterap or beh can clarify.
the first page got lots of info.
i read it and make research for 2/3 months before having my first bunny.
bunnies are easy to take care but they are fragile too.

went to beh stall last sat.
i wan to share my experience here.
i never went there before so i don know where is his stall or shop is.

so i go in and ask the guard, "bang, tau sini mana ada pet shop ka?"
he say, "apa?" then i answer, "kedai haiwan, tau dekat tingkat berapa?"
"ooo, kedai haiwan (taiwan) dekat tingkat LG. bawah, bawah"

so i went to the btm floor and all i can see is a lot of stall selling funny funny stuff.
got old CD, jed, crystal, antique and even coins.
so i went up again and search for the guard, "bang, tak de kedai haiwan."
"ada ada, manyak kedai haiwan (taiwan) dekat bawah"

then i say, "bukan taiwan, haiwan. arnab, kucing, burung, anjing."
"itu kena pergi wet market, sana ada jual ayam, kambing, lembu. sana ade kedai pet pet" shakehead.gif
(funnily, he know wet market but not pet shop, and i don know what is pet pet until today)

quite pissed off, i say thank you and walk out.
while having my coffee at starbuck my eyes accidentally caught some holland lop and ... haiz, there is his stall outside the door.
buy the oxbow and went back. happily. ho ho ho. icon_rolleyes.gif
