Just hope for Bernard to carry the USA LE.

if not..pegh..
*
Don't know who is Bernard but I think it will be Asian LE

Reason being the US LE is Gamestop exclusive.

Gamestop does not ship to Malaysia which to me SUCKS!
At first I didn't bother the LE however when I heard the goodies especially tin box
To me is it a must get for me sad.gif I liked my Assassin's Creed tin box :3

I begged my friend who I met online in a online game called Final Fantasy XI.
He ordered 2 for me hehe

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Limited Edition 2 $169.98

Subtotal : $169.98
Tax : $13.63
Handling : $5.99
Grand Total : $189.60

That's in USD.... plus another 60USD at least for shipping over to Malaysia with UPS sad.gif

That is a whooping $249.60 (RM 790 with today's exchange rate)

Therefore that's like RM 395 per game.... Oh how I wish the USD drop more... make it 2.9 smile.gif

On my part

Where do i get the beta code
*
Now that's the sad part.
You can't.
You will need to pre order in US to get it.

Therefore, the only way to get it is by asking your US friends who pre order and doesn't want to try beta...
I got mine from a Gamestop Employee

wah, much respect to kira-kun for willing to spent so much for US LE notworthy.gif

someone brought up an interesting point, since there are TWO versions of Asian version (JPN & ENG), i wonder what servers Asian players will be connecting to for MGO - JPN or US? hmm.gif

LOL... thanks Acougan. I think I am being more of a fool >_<;;;
Could have bought 2 games with that amount of cash but I am a MGS fool.
The US LE is way better than the JP for the first time in my opinion.

1. The Box Art for the Limited Edition is pure ownage. The US art seems to be more superior that the JP (JP only Metal Gear Solid 4)
2. The Game cover, JP is art illustration of Old Snake which is better than the 3D model of Old Snake
3. Bonus DVD content seems to be rather similar but who knows... It seems like the cover for their Bonus DVD is different in color where JP is the opposite of the US color scheme and it seems to be tin cover or just metallic color
4. Pre-ordering MGS4 Limited Edition in the US will also provide you the art book illustrated by Yoji Shinkawa. No news on whether JP is getting this or not.

After considering all these goodies, I have to get it sad.gif

Now in my opinion of MGO, they are connected globally.
Probably it will work like Final Fantasy XI, so if your version is JP and Asian (JP voice), even if your default voice command is in JP, the other side will hear based on its language.
So like if you say 'Gambateh' as in default, those in English version will hear 'Good Luck'

That's me :3

We will find out this friday!

Could be but it seems like other than us, other people don't really have latency issue lol

Malaysia seriously need to brush up their broadband service >_<

I do hope that is true.

This is because, from my previous experience with MGO, the servers were region based.

That is why those EU people played MGO on MG3S longer, NTSCUC's closed before them.

Sad day tho'..then followed by Capcom's move to close Monster Hunter...sigh.

This is what we get for free online gaming.

Well like I said, we could only determine this on friday.
But that's my opinion as through playing several online games only.
times have change lol
maybe they would like us to play as a global community

my reason of it being region locked is based on player skill.
JP uses lock on where US tends to like FPS mode more
To avoid conflict of players, they may region lock sad.gif

Lag has little to do with our broadband service, granted that it's slow but that doesn't have much to do with lag because unless we can increase the speed of which light moves, there'll always be lag.

of course, there is always lag.
it is how much you lag

i was referring to the instability though.
i could be wrong with this judgement though cause i see inconsistency of my ping over in this area of mine hehe

Regarding the US LE, I am holding back because I am thinking, are we able to download the DLC content for MGS4, if any, on the US PSN?

i don't see why not
if you think about credit card validity, well you have to use entropay.com (refer to warhawk page)

and also Playstation Network Card for the US will be releasing spring 08

and yes my answer will still be the same.
if you were to purchase US games, be sure to get your DLC from US PSN.
Since you can't pay with several credit cards, the only way is through entropay.com which is virtual credit card as mentioned in warhawk thread.

And that Prepaid Network Card for the US will be releasing spring 08.

After experiencing Warhawk's DLC where I thought it was region free but it wasn't, it is easy enough to say play safe, download your content based on your games region.

Thanks for all the feedback.

I am divided for these two main issues

- DLC
- Will asian versions be getting the same DLC at the same time...
- Online Servers
- In case its region locked, wanna find out what most LYN forumers are gonna buy so that there are ppl to play with during peak times

didn't Winning Eleven 2008 Asian version also feature cross-region online play?

if Konami uses similar online infrastructure for MGO, i hope all versions can play online together.
