Shazmn bro,
After u added the bar to the engine bay (3rd last pic, the red bar), do you have problem when changing air filter? I notice the way those in PSC change air filter, and somehow it seem to have problem if we install the bar, or I overlook something in the process ? |

i didnt install the bar...mine come stock with the bar etc...this is the MME Edition by Proton R3 Motorsport Division...(Not Gen2 R3...Just MME...to commemorate the Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race)
the pics above is taken on the 2nd day i got my car...nothing is being changed/added on etc... if u wanna change the filter, just take the bar screw out and pull the bar up...easy job u dont have to take the absorber mounting screw out...notice the silver colored screw there? that is the screw that i meant... this is a 2-point not a 3-point like UltraRacing... this is what i offer in Gen2Club...
if anyone interested just tell me ok... QUOTE Opening Words of Wisdom This post has been edited by shazmn: Jan 30 2009, 02:26 PMOften we heard people asking what to do to their car to get better driving pleasure of driving a CamPro and many more. Some newbie just have no idea of what to do and often misled to do unnecessary stuff which in the end caused them to burn their hard earned money…If you think you are the same as the mentioned above, well this package is for you… Before you read on, I need to clarify some thing where for the first 2 upgrades offered here, you have to come to SEREMBAN...But I'll ensure you it is worth every penny spent Do remember this is not going to the extreme level and with the proper tune, it is enough to improve your CamPro sluggish response. Do remember your main purpose why you buy the car in the first place and don’t waste your money where it is unnecessary. Be smart and don’t be stupid. Some other minor mod like change to better Spark Plugs and Spark Plug Cables can also be recommended but we don’t have the parts for you. Equipping with Lighten Crank Pulley and Adjustable Cam Pulley is also ok but don’t waste your money if you don’t really need it. Major mods like PnP, Hi-Cams, Management (Standalone or Piggyback), Gearbox Ratios etc are not necessary. Why sacrifice your daily used cars and equipped it with something you don’t really need just because you think everyone has it. Last word of wisdom to my fellow friend “Biar mod basic tapi power…spend your money wisely…jangan nanti dah abes ribu2 skali kene tapau dgn kete yg buat basic mod aje…” How much to spend? RM1200 for 5 Items (Extractor, FPR, Snorkel, Drop In, Zaptor) Detailed Item List: 1. NEW Extractor Wegow 4-2-1 - Remove the standard header and the Catalytic Converter (CATCON). You could feel the immediate increase in pickup. An extractor helps your engine to breathe easily without any CATCON blocking the way thus results in better engine performance and in theory improves your FC. BUT do remember the fact that car owner often become a ‘heavy footer’ once this mod is done. Just imagine the previous years driving a sluggish CamPro powered car and suddenly it gets a better punch in it who would want to miss the feeling right… - Bigger diameter compared to other brand such as R3, Powerzone, Hotbits etc - Complete with installation and O2 sensor being relocated. 2. NEW Arospeed Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR) with Meter Gauge - An FPR helps in maintaining the correct amount of fuel that enters the engine for better engine combustion. Also it helps in eliminating the lag from a standard CamPro. - Comes in a complete set with Dummy Adaptor, Blue Vacuum Hose Etc - Complete with installation and tuning to fit your driving style and engine behavior. 3. NEW Large Snorkel (Material outside base is PU and inside is a Fiber) - Notice how small the opening of air intake from a Standard Gen2? This snorkel is really big and it provides more opening for air to be sucked in the intake and thus it gives you the best intake system for your CamPro. Most of the old discussion from old-timer has agreed that this snorkel alone can add at least 1hp. Who needs those bulky and flashy Open Pod which without a proper CAI and a Heat Shield can make your car suffer during a bright sunny day. - Specially installed by ME hahahaha… 4. NEW Pipercross Drop In Air Filter - Once you’ve got a snorkel, pair it with a Pipercross Drop In air filter and you could hear and feel the sound of air rushing in your CamPro - It can be used up to 100,000km and washable just like K&N. It differs in material and Pipercross is a sponge based filter where there is more room for air to go in. Of course K&N can last longer but performance wise, Pipercross is better. - Installation can also be done by ME…hahahaha… 5. NEW Zaptor Gold Acoustic III Voltage Stabilizer - Helps in stabilizing the voltage in your car and prolongs your battery lifespan. 6. EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA Services FOR FREE - The service actually comes bundled with the FPR. What is it? Hahahahah Where and how to deal? 1. The location for Item 1. NEW Extractor Wegow 4-2-1 and 2. NEW Arospeed Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR) with Meter Gauge is in Seremban. As for others, I could deliver and install them at your place with some fuel and toll charge. 2. Drop me a Message or SMS and call me on my mobile 0172525456. 3. Do make a booking at least 2 days earlier to confirm parts availability. 4. You can get the whole package or if you don’t need any of it, do get the new price quotation from me. 5. If you want the package where Item 1. NEW Extractor Wegow 4-2-1 is necessary, do come when the exhaust shop is open. Recommended time on Saturday from 10AM – 5PM 6. If you want the package where Item 4. NEW Pipercross Drop In Air Filter is necessary, do give me the deposit of RM300 first so that I could get the item for you from my supplier. Last but not least If you are interested and want to know more, do drop me a message. Better if you could give me a call for inquiries. ----------------------------------------------------------------- ![]() Official SRNS Tuner ----------------------------------------------------------------- Thank You Regards, JenalMME |

Item#1 (New extractor). I wanna go "green" Item #2 (FPR) Bad Year, no bonus Item #3 (Large Snorkel) I though you dont do installation and it is D.I.Y style? Item #4 (Drop In Filter) If bring to service @ PSC, they know how to wash or not? Item #5 (Zaptor) Installed, but didnt notice much in terms of response or handling.. Feel abit waste of 80$ for the zaptor Item #6 (free service) Free all-you-can-eat pizza by shazmn ? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

No need to take it too seriously, my friend..
My earlier post is more of a 50%serious-50%mamak post In actuality, I believe that the initial setup of gen-2 good enough.. Even with factory setting, there is few vehicle(drivers) that actually out-speed me during pickup and highway.. Zaptor was installed because I hate the headlight dim-ed when the compressor fan kicks in, but it doesn't seem to help in that sense.. And the fuel regulator is a good investment, this must I can say from the "research" online. Only thing stopping me is my initial debt This post has been edited by Dovienya: Feb 1 2009, 12:46 AM |
