1.3 version of gen2 is a but underpowered...go for 1.6...

about the torque dip yeah it is a concern for most campro users...but most of us change the header to aftermarket n remove the cat con n it really improves the torque...

some other additional mod is like use a fuel pressure regulator, use aftermarket drop in filter with larger snorkel, use iridium plugs, adjustable cam pulley etc...

a 2nd hand gen2 will all those mods cost cheaper then buying a new one...

Just to share some info when i was traveled from..

Kota Damansara to Perlis.
Total Fuel pump at Kota Damansara = RM 62 (to get Full tank)
KM covered = 420 KM ( topup another RM10@Petronas Lencong Barat, Alor Setar to get to Perlis)
Max speed = 160 km/h
Average speed = 140km/h

Perlis to Kota Damansara
Total Fuel = 1 1/2 tanks (forget to set the total KM and total fuel)
Max speed = 180 km/h ("berat kaki" on the pedal at most of the time)
Average speed = 150km/h

So i'm quit OK with my fuel consumption - full tank manage to get at least 420km even i was speeding at most of the time.

None of the mods involved internal modifications, all of which are just add-ons, if the engine can't even handle that it's a real piece of sh1t. EVen if their cars have been to the track and used for spirited driving, a crankshaft doesn't crack at where it did and all at the same bloody place. At most the power of the engines would be 110hp which is according to proton spec is standard.

Gen2 already got auto door look when you step on the brake provided that your engine is running. And it will auto unlock once you switch off the engine. Your Gen2 don't have?

Auto boot open i'm not sure. Maybe can ask SC if can install into Gen2 since Persona HL using it..haha..

Persona gearbox same as Gen2, just that it's using a better TCU, no need change 1 la because it will still downshift...haha...

Means everytime you guys want to lock the door, need to manually press down the lock on the door?

Mine confirm got auto lock since i always press the brake to lock all the doors after i switch on the engine...

did u try to tunning it?? maybe can help ur problem...

If the g/box downshift and you don't step on the gas pedal, the engine is not using anymore fuel than idling, in fact the ECU turns off the injectors. It is more obvious in a manual car because when you step on the clutch you can actually see the rpm will drop below idling and the ECU will restart the engine by firing the injectors. So engine braking doesn't use fuel at all actually.

I think although Persona comes with a better TCU, it will still downshift like Gen2...The better TCU is primarily used to counter the Campro's torque dip and provide a better drivability...So, i think not necessary to change the Persona TCU but i could be wrong though as i've never driven a Persona...haha...

As for the downshift, i think it depends on your speed and the pressure applied on your accelarator...When the car detects even a slightest slope, the gearbox will downshift a gear...so, when it downshifts on a slope, just step harder to increase your speed (if it's safe to go faster) and it will upshift.

Normally if you travel more than 90/100 km/h on the top gear and applying a constant pressure on the accelerator while on the slope, it will not downshift unless you release and if the car slows down. Well, mine normally shoots up 3k++ rpm but not 5k++ rpm, haha...

Well, this is what i experience with my car and my FC is around 0.19-0.20 cents/km and i seldom drive hard...

Nope, mine is just the normal M-line model. I think it has something to do with my Anti Theft System installed by my SA. 

Idling definitely consumes petrol regardless of whether u press the pedal or not...

I think when going down a slope without pressing the pedal won't use any fuel gua like what bro rcracer explained in earlier posts...

Yeah if your foot is off the accelerator then it won't waste petrol

from D shift to N...hehehehehehehehehe...
