To all you fine people. I think best refer to our recommender tkytky  notworthy.gif. Because of him, I get to know romie from ban hooi tayar sdn bhd. That guy dam cincai. Sorry, I put it wrong  rclxub.gif . RM650 from my trade in. My first batch myvi rim and tire. Total RM650. I think2 can push higher but kesian at ramie later boss marah him  tongue.gif . My rim is 15" x 6.5 lenso samurai SH Alloy Rim Superlight. Dam light. RM1100. Best go for 17 or 18 if u darelah  tongue.gif . Best is 15 because once u go beyond that, your rim selalu bengkok and tyre always pancit  tongue.gif . Many people came back there and complain malaysia road  tongue.gif . For tire i bought 195/55R15 michelin pilot preceda 2 (PP2) RM235per tire. DAM perfect combination  rclxm9.gif . Now i can easier for 190km. Test power at port klang yesterday 3am. Dam smooth. Racing nut and eiback spring also i buy. A bit lowered. Now waithing for my complete Myvi SE body kit. I think2 next week ready lor. U knowlah ASB so mafan have to spray and dry lor  doh.gif . I perfectly recommand all you guys to go to Ban Hooi Tayar Sdn Bhd (Landmark Kedai papan opposite and keep looking at left shop row). Seek for Romie. Btw, dunlah everyone buy the same rim  sweat.gif . Later eveyone become samurai lor  tongue.gif . Alot other lenso. Take your time there. And the chinese counter girl working there aiyo dam cun and cute and cun and cute and cun aiyoyoyoyoyoyoyo . Feel like  brows.gif  her.

Hi Guys,

I did mine using Dynamat. For 4 doors and boot you only need 4 pieces, enough adi. They only soundproof those area which is needed only, so that it will balance up your whole car and not necessary have to paste soundproof on every metal you see inside your car doors but of course is your choice to put more also can.

Dynamat is installed at your door grill inside to prevent vibration and sound from outside. ONce done, the shop that i went also included another layer of brown padding to stick the outer layer of your door inside.

hehe but forgot to take picture.

For roof i used 2 pieces of Dynamat and they also add in a few other soundproof padding material. Now heavy rain or blast woofer no sound and vibration.

Total i spend about RM 1k + but can nego and the shop also add in other padding which he didnt charge me and i have no regret. Location is at ss15 subang jaya. The owner there is great and you can learn a lot from him about car audio and soundproof. He wont force u to put what is not necessary.

Hope this help. PM me for more info.

Yup you should go and check, anyway everyone have their own preference. hehe.

I did 4 doors, boot and roof for 1k plus some other soundproof material for free. Forget to tell you the amount i paid is included soundproof my tweeter and speakers.

To soundproof a car, usually they target the main areas like

1. doors.
2. the rear sides of the car at the passenger side holding your back windscreen, or the sides after your rear doors ( dunno how to call it tongue.gif )
3. Boot (only when you got woofer, or else put or dont put also doesnt affect much)
4. Engine bay + some heat shield (also soundproof type) - a lot of work!
5. Roof is really depend on you, i mean how often it rains right? but i have to do it cause my roof is vibrating when boom boom boom. cry.gif

Y need to soundproof your boot cause it helps to reduce cancellation on your woofer, means after soundproof your boot, your woofer sounds stronger, same theory for your speakers or component sets. Soundproof helps to protect your speakers, allows you to hear the purity of your speaker sound produced, than having speaker sound + road noise etc etc = a lot of sound lost.

For roof leh, i soundproof it cause mine was vibrating when i listen to bassy music, so oh well, decided to just soundproof lo. So when heavy rain, can't hear much and also reduces the heat to your car.

when it comes to %, It is very subjective actually, but for me, IMO, it is very quiet adi, and you can notice the difference.

Let's measure it this way.. when without soundproof, i have to blast to volume 28 - 29, now with it, i have to tuned my amp a bittttttt lower, and now i only listen at 25 - 26 enough liow.

Oh yea the shop i went to put soundproof also did free tuning for me using the microphone with the tuning kit (dunno call what also tongue.gif )

hope it helps.
