i had been palying badminton for about 15 years, been using brands like yonex, carlton, pro-ace and prince.
i think the best is yenox, the carbonex series. i m not sure about the muscle power series but i think the carbonex series is good enough. i m now using the carbonex 21 special, which now cost about RM150 i think.

| QUOTE (MIS @ Jul 20 2004, 08:00 PM) | | skills play a vital role.......if u are highly skilled, any racquet will go ur way.....it is the matter on how you have ur wrist work done and how well u control the racquet. |
thats true ultimately, skills are the most important factor in any sport but if you use a piece of equipment not suited to you, you might not be playing at your best "good carpenters don't blame their tools" is one of the crappiest sayings i've heard
off topic - try playing snooker with a really crooked cue it irritates the hell out of you
back to topic - i can't hit the shuttle properly if i use any carbonex or isometric series it doesn't feel right in my hand maybe its just me...

well said there i have tough time using my bro's racquet(ProAce WideBody series), can't really get a good smash and it seems that all my strokes requires more energy while i'm using Sweetspot series(the isometric look alike), i find that i can hit the ball without requiring that much of energy maybe i'm used to the racquet, that's why......

[Offtopic] I wonder those titanium rackets are any good? Will they break as easily as carbon graphite ones? Coz i've "smashed" 2 rackets already - Carbonex 8 (Blue) and Carbonex 8000.... Really sakit hati, man!
I've been looking around for quite sometime now. Looking for best price and quality. Can't seem to make up my mind on any models so far. [Offtopic]
As for the preference between brands. IMHO, brands doesn't matter as long as the racquet feels comfortable for you while you're playing. Just look back at the olden days, they're using wooden racquets for crying out loud!! And still they play some of the best badminton ever.....
So I think there's no answer to which brand is better but as for value for money, racquets that feels light enough to control properly are aplenty out there....

well....last time they did sell the cab 21sp for RM160 during the promotion...but now its back to normal price...if based on Sunrise sport(yonex supplier)...its price is RM299.....then its still ok, right?

Ah Proace is fragile? My Proace of a month old hit my partner's during a smash conflict, and the whole "head" went bengkok, like wood Now using Prince (yeah try some gwailo stuff), beautiful design, free bag, nice to use BTW, a quick question, the guy at the shop I went for stringing says the original stringing that came with new rackets is very good already and we don't need to change strings. Is that right?
