i had been palying badminton for about 15 years, been using brands like yonex, carlton, pro-ace and prince.

i think the best is yenox, the carbonex series. i m not sure about the muscle power series but i think the carbonex series is good enough. i m now using the carbonex 21 special, which now cost about RM150 i think.

hi all...i've been checking out racquets in the price range of Rm100-200-ish and i found that the yonex carbonex 21 sp and 21 special is within the price range...
i would like to know the difference between these two racquets smile.gif  because the price diff is quite big.
thx in advance smile.gif

dont think carbonex 21sp is withing the price range of 100-200, as far as i know carbonex 21sp is around 250....while 21 special is around 150.......i have carb 21 special...i only take it is a spare racket as it is a overall weight balance racket. i prefer slightly head heavy racket.... biggrin.gif

Does anybowy know where to get the Cab21SP in the Klang Valley? I can find it at Pacific (near Atria, DJ) for about 279 before nego, but I dont think the price is really in my ballpark. Any other suggestions?

I think earlier on people in the thread mentioned picking up the Cab21 SP for about 160 or less, would that be the Special or SP?
*
RM279 is a little to expensive, shops in pertama complex only selling for RM230

Concerning the strings, the ones that can last long are the thick ones, for example, the BG65 from Yonex. The thins ones (BG66) tend to give you a nicer smash, but breaks easily sweat.gif BTW, I'm using BG80, which is not too thin, not too thick  laugh.gif

Those are just my opinion, as I'm still quite a noob badminton player rolleyes.gif

Fat_lip2525

since u r using bg80, would like to get some advice from u regarding the string?

how do u feel about the string in term of
1. control
2.smashing
3. tension durability

thanks

Wan get a good racket so i can string to 30-32lbs.

Haha.. Don't know.. Maybe i am the one who like it.
*
if u really wanna string such high tension, the choices limited to yonex high end series like nano9000, nano8000, armotec 800(OF&DF), armotec 700, Muscle power 100, muscle power 99 or ti-10. the reason i said so is because these rackets are either previously or currently being used by those international players like lin dan, lee chong wei, taufik ....etc. and their racket are usually string at high tension. hence the rackets that they are using are indirectly being proven that can support high tension.

however, it is quite impossible to compare with them, level of skill is a reason, another reason is financial factors. they are suponsored by yonex, unlike us, when we clashed our rackets when playing doubles, we need to use our own money to replace a new one.

1 thing need to remind u, that is as far as i know, the higher tension u string ur racket, the higher chances of ur racket frame will damage when clashed with others racket.

just my personal opinion bout racket stringing. smile.gif

hahaha....u know my choice... rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

yeah, i think Protech Master Piece is more durable if compared with RSL and sealion. last time i bought in pertama complex, it costs RM44 per dozen. but when i went pertama complex on last weekend, they seem to be run out of stock of the ptrotech master piece. sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

Which one is better?
Bg80 or Bg68Ti better interms of
1. Performance
2. Durability

Both are 0.68.
*
last time i used to string with bg68ti, it is good in term of control but when comes to hard hitting, like smashing, i feel it a little lack of power. dont know why, maybe my arm is not strong enough.

been using bg80 for 3 weeks, so far so good, still good in control, and in term of power, definately better than bg68ti.

durability, cant give comment on bg80 as only use it for 3 weeks++, but for bg68ti, i think it is better than bg66 as it is thicker than bg66.

stift is refered to the flexibility of the shaft of the racket

the stifter the racket, meaning the hard for u to bend the racket.

like what bufung mentioned earlier, most top internatial players use either stift or extra stift racket.

u can refer to the yonex website and u will notice, the highend racket of each series, like Ti-10, MP99, MP100, Artmotec 700, Armotec 800, Nanospeed 9000, are either stift or extra stift racket.
