myhat, i think we can't judge for u as we hv no idea which style of playing and grip size as well and weight consideration....

if u live in KL, try pertama complex and survey by u self... RM150 range won't get japan made yonex like muscle power series n armortec series
perhaps for carbonex series under joint venture with pbsi (indonesian badminton association)

proace, it's made in taiwan....i'd say it's fragile and many yonex players i knew went back in using yonex after trying out proace....

in conclusion, the feeling of decision still with u as u can c diff ppl diff opinions....so feel by u self

RM150 ain't bad budget anyhow ....good luck smile.gif

IMO, i have been using Yonex since i actively started playing badminton. Have experienced using a lot of brand, but only have experienced one racket for one diff. brand, (eg. Fleet, ProAce, Yangyang, Carlton, ProKeenex etc.).

why i dont pursue more than one racket for each of those brand is because i cant feel comfortable handling 'em, Yonex is much more suits my play style'.

and off the record, Yonex is lasting longer too, esp. the carbonex series IMO. MOST carbonex suits your budget, but still, give som Yonex a hands-on try, then u will know if u like it or otherwise.

still, if u wanna experiment, ProAce might suits u too..!

Always always go for Yonex dude...

There is this "T" carbon in the rakcet at its middle point that makes it easy to control and balanced, not found in any racket. And go for those above RM100, guess Rm120 or so can get a real good racket. Always go for carbonex, coz they are light weight and easy to handle. Never got to shops and buy, they may over charge u for one. Go to some hypermarket or something like Parkson or Giant to buy. You can wait for an offer period to buy.

Yonex so far I use is god. ProAce, hmm no offence, but my sis bought it for about RM100 one, but I don't seem to like it, only match a RM40 Yonex racket.Yonex is still the most reliable in the market. And ya, try buying at your hometown, might get cheaper price.....

if you were to go for Yonex, don't think you can get a decent one at RM120 rolleyes.gif
prepare to spend about RM160 to RM180 for a decent one(or should i say good and light enough)
RM100 ProAce? of course not good lar doh.gif doh.gif
you need to spend at least RM150 - RM160 for a decent one
anyways, the "T" joint at the racquet already outdated doh.gif doh.gif(anyways most brands uses it doh.gif doh.gif)
so darn heavy and yet you say controllable? shakehead.gif
unless you are talking about another design which has internal T joint and is also very common doh.gif doh.gif
anyways, the latest trend is towards the isometric design(yah, Yonex was the first if i'm not mistaken)

beware...yonex has really good imitation racquet a.k.a pirated racquet in the market
reseller also can't differentiate as the serial numbers and colors r almost identical...

everyone definitely has his/her very own opinions o experience on racquet but davidtcf's comments r totally absurb especially talking about t-joint, yonex is good (there is a wide range of products, not all r good) and proace not good? i've been using proace for more than a decade.....so for a bunch of friends

all i need to say is we cannot justify by the brand and price but specific product/model no. will do. For ex. last time yonex's MP55 was selling @ RM600 and now stock clerance @ RM200, everybody shd feel something wrong in doing offer.

it seems like many ppl replying here is a yonex fan eh? No offence man. I use yonex myself but i've been playing with other racquet brands as well .. and yes, they are just as good. Good or not depends you. No one can help you decide as you will have to feel the racquet yourself. ProAce us a good racquet and I have no problem with it so far .. Try other brands .. like RSL, or maybe APACS? They are quite good in terms of cash and performance .. that's all i hafta say ..

adios

skills play a vital role.......if u are highly skilled, any racquet will go ur way.....it is the matter on how you have ur wrist work done and how well u control the racquet.
