What is the link for checking my latest PTPTN statement? Previously I was using the PTPTN efes and since last week, have not been able to check the statement. Always system down. First time using Jompay to pay online by debiting my credit card. Just wanna check if it's reflected in the current statement or not. Keep on asking us to repay but they seriously need to do something with their system too.
*
same here. last month I couldn't normally pay and end up using jompay. you want us to pay back but you have shoddy work on your site.

Hi recently I applied for loan conso with 2 banks and got rejected, the reason was due to ptptn. I was previously owed for 26months and I cleared the outstanding in Oct. Even with 2 months owings now, banks still rejected my loan application. Can somebody tell me if I pay half of my repayment (250/2) every month, would it record as payment under CCRIS which will equal to 0?
*
you need to wait a year for your CCRIS record to be updated and clean from the day you clear your outstandings

you guys can think in this way

you owe 50k ptptn loan, 15 years repayment period under 1% contract
monthly repayment : 50,000 + 5,000 = 55,000/15/12 = 305.56 | ujrah 27.78 | principal 277.78

you kena toto 50k, you are in dilemma to settle the loan or use it on other things

currently got 15% rebates if do full settlement
total settlement : 55,000 x 85% = 46.750
you save : 8250
meaning you earn back only 45.83 (8250/12/15) every month for 15 years from that rebates, really that nice meh the 15%??

you put 50k into FD which generate 4% annually for 15 years
total gain after 15 years
total principal : 50,000
interest amount : 40,047.18
total maturity value : 90047.18

of course you still need to pay during the 15 years period to ptptn, if you pay promptly @ 305.56
total interest paid : 5000
total principal paid : 50,000 - 50,000(from FD) = 0
total interest gain = 40.047.18 - 5,000 = 35047.18
meaning you earn back 194.71 (35047.18/12/15) every month for 15 years. So why we need the rebate?

This only counted if you put those money in FD@4%, if you are good in property / stock exchange , you might earn 2x or 3x from it.

So again, why need to pay more OR eagerly to settle early since it is just 1% of loan?  thumbup.gif

Because ptptn is running out of funds and the future generation is unable to enjoy the ability to apply a loan.

How much is your tunggakan?
Your case sounds similar to mine.
The insurance is there to insure the loan if anything happened to you especially when you RIP before you could completely settle the loan.

around a few thousand. I think I missed a few payments here and there a year back as I was consolidating my savings. but i always been paying 400 myr. interest is 153 per month. hmmm... I'll check with ptptn office tomorrow.

add.

some of my payments aren't keyed in. what the fuck. I use bank in

I told that I got outstanding because of the backdated ujrah amount they charged from the date I need to repay (6 months after completion of study) till I successfully converted into ujrah. Their stupid system cannot automatically adjusted even though I have been diligently pay through salary deduction for about 5 years. This amount will still retain as outstanding till I cleared till on top of the monthly repayment and it dented my CCRIS record.

Recently via email, I noticed the amount has been starting to par down. Not sure how but seems like some of my repayment went to offset that side.
*
shitty system. that's malaysia for you. I just settled my insurance lump sum with my cc. why couldn't they just insert the whole sum into the loan instead of having us do separate payment. Jesus Christ

Old rate should be 3% but the mechanism is reducing balance loan like home loan.
Ujrah is fixed 1% and it works like hire purchase mechanism.

Yeap thank god my lazy ass didn't apply for ujrah

PTPTN introduces online direct debit repayment system

KUALA LUMPUR: Borrowers of the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) can now make their loan repayments consistently through an online direct debit system.

PTPTN chairman Datuk Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah said this way, the borrowers no longer need to go to PTPTN counters to make repayments but need only register at the PTTPN official portal www.ptptn.gov.my.

"The manual direct debit system was introduced in November last year, but it was more complicated and could cause the application to be rejected," he said.

Yes, the 10% deduction will reflect on your ptptn balance

For me i would prefer use direct debit as we will get additional 10% discount
*
wait wait discount is

Total loan x 10%

or

(Total debit amount x 10%) - total loan

Hi sifu,
I have a question to ask here.
After graduate from university, I had never paid for my PTPTN, but recently i am planning to start to pay monthly.
May I know is it recommended not to pay, but save the money (maybe take 5 years to save this amount) to settle the debt in one time? (to get 15% discount)?
TQ.

Before you begin to think about not paying, remember that's your name will be placed in ccris and potentially not allow you to travel within or outside of Malaysia. I have a colleague who was stopped in Kuching international airport for not paying her ptptn. Her flight was from Kuala Lumpur.

Also as a fresh graduate you need loans to buy a car or a house, having your name black listed will not allow you to apply loans. Just pay for it as per stated by ptptn

Thanks for your reply.
So it is better to pay monthly and settle the outstanding loan in one shot if possible.
*
if you have the money to settle one shot I suggest you invest it while paying the monthly statement.

ptptn loans are the cheapest loan rates. 1% to 3%

if your investment can rack up to 6% to 12% even better.

that's what I'm doing.

Hi guys, need some clarification here. I've graduated and was long unemployed for an awhile and most of the jobs that I managed to do were just freelance work and I completely have forgotten that I'll need to repay PTPTN after 9 months. This year, I received an e-mail from PTPTN regarding about my outstanding amount is around 6k. If I settle the outstanding amount and start paying regularly per month will I still be blacklisted at the moment? I've finally managed to save up some money to start my own company  icon_question.gif
Thanks
*
nope they will remove you once the outstanding has been settled. do call them to remove your name from immigration black list if you are traveling soon and also if you are taking a loan, there will be a chance it will be rejected even after settling the outstanding

Thanks, for the heads up. However, I did travel to Malaysia this year and I did not have any issues. Is it safe to say, can I travel within Malaysia next month? Cause I got some work which requires traveling.

my west Malaysian colleague flew from kl to kuching got stopped by immigration and she was delayed for one hour for "questioning"

not easy bro. I have an engagement in Japan and I don't wanna fuck it up because of my past mistakes of ignoring my loan back when I was young and stupid so I had to work extra shifts to cover the 14k tunggakan. now left 50k to finish

add on.

the counter lady tried to persuade me to switch to ujrah. I kept saying no. doing a little research about it tells me conventional is way better than ujrah
