OMG i received an American Express card (not Maybank AMEX) via poslaju today.
And i had never applied for one. Should i keep the card or call them to cancel it? I dont see any reason i should keep the card, except that it might look cool to own an American Express card. And not only that, for eligible to get reward points, one must register either one of their reward programs that are charged RM25-RM100 annually. And the card annual fee itself is RM95. |

QUOTE(jep @ Mar 14 2008, 11:29 AM) For Maybank Petronas Card..i heard that if i'm a maybank classic/gold owner..if i were to switch to this card...i have to clear all my previous card's treatpoints..cause it can't be transfered...is it true? Nope, u can keep the treatpoints and continue to accumulate. Its easier if u have banking account with them, in this case your treatpoints are linked to your banking account. |

QUOTE(WildChai @ Mar 14 2008, 03:03 PM) Anyone here got called up by your current CC banks offering you an upgrade? Afraid it's a scam....so gotten the executive's ID and confirmed it with the bank. Upgrade to what?Usually they will upgrade for u (if they upgrade for u lar) they will do it when your card expired, they will send the upgraded card. Btw guys, Maybank is launching new service, that is the ATM card with VISA capability. It works as your ATM card and also VISA debit that linked directly to your savings/current account. Go change your existing Maybank ATM card now for the limited edition card. p/s: RM12 chargeable for changing the card. |

QUOTE(musha @ Mar 14 2008, 12:22 PM) guys, need help.. 1) Should have no problem if Hong Leong have that. Look for something like "Interbank or GIRO"1)can i use hong leong bank online to pay my citibank credit card? 2)I have Rm200 credit more to reach my limit which is RM3500. can i overspend, will they block the transaction? cause i need to buy things and i am not in malaysia. 3)If can, then i will settle the bill when i back in malaysia. 4)If not, i have to think a way to pay the amount i need to use then only can use the CC. 2) By default it will be blocked, means your transaction will be rejected but the machine might ask to call bank to get approval code and if approved then can overspend the limit, else u can also call up to your bank beforehand to ask for temporary credit increase. 3) refer above. 4) Sure u can pay there's so many ways, like GIRO or ask your friend to pay for u 1st |

ONE card really got classic and platinum.. the agent is correct : That is the new card that launched recently..http://www1.uob.com.my/webpages/oneCard/pdf/General.pdf It was only platinum last time but they decided to make another classic card for ONE card. Futhermore the annual salary requirement for ONE Platinum has been revised from RM18,000 to RM48,000 per annum. This post has been edited by WaCKy-Angel: Mar 18 2008, 03:58 PM |

QUOTE(sam240 @ Mar 18 2008, 03:53 PM) I just took my CIMB Petronas from nearest branch yesterday.....will try to use and see really got rebate on petrol or not.....anyone already used and get first bill?.....share with me how's your rebate rate...... thanks... The rebate is not shown on the petrol pump itself, if that is what u want to know.It will be shown on your statement instead. Actually its just the same like other point based creditcards, just that the difference is this is cash rebate that u can use to buy/redeem stuffs. Different terminology, same thing |

QUOTE(sam240 @ Mar 19 2008, 02:57 PM) ya, I know it will shows on the statement, that's why I'm looking for anyone who received their first bill... Maybank American Express still got 2x points for petrol stations.and....yes, rebate = point rewards, just most of the credit card cannot get any points for petrol....that's why I choose on rebate on petrol..... and today just apply online the Air Asia Citibank, free 2GB Thumbdrive.....first year annual fee waived..... hope can get the thumbdrive asap..... But i think until 31st July only |

QUOTE(David83 @ Mar 27 2008, 10:59 PM) I don't carry that around me. I leave at the house last time when there's a need to access the online accounts. What is that "security device" that u guys talk about?I saw some of my colleagues carry that around with badge ties (the one you hang your badge round the neck). Got pic? |
