But physical card havent get yet.

OMG i received an American Express card (not Maybank AMEX) via poslaju today.
And i had never applied for one.

Should i keep the card or call them to cancel it?

I dont see any reason i should keep the card, except that it might look cool to own an American Express card.

And not only that, for eligible to get reward points, one must register either one of their reward programs that are charged RM25-RM100 annually.

And the card annual fee itself is RM95.

Nope, u can keep the treatpoints and continue to accumulate.

Its easier if u have banking account with them, in this case your treatpoints are linked to your banking account.

Upgrade to what?
Usually they will upgrade for u (if they upgrade for u lar) they will do it when your card expired, they will send the upgraded card.

Btw guys,
Maybank is launching new service, that is the ATM card with VISA capability.
It works as your ATM card and also VISA debit that linked directly to your savings/current account.

Go change your existing Maybank ATM card now for the limited edition card.
p/s: RM12 chargeable for changing the card.

1) Should have no problem if Hong Leong have that. Look for something like "Interbank or GIRO"
2) By default it will be blocked, means your transaction will be rejected but the machine might ask to call bank to get approval code and if approved then can overspend the limit, else u can also call up to your bank beforehand to ask for temporary credit increase.

4) Sure u can pay there's so many ways, like GIRO or ask your friend to pay for u 1st

That is the new card that launched recently..
It was only platinum last time but they decided to make another classic card for ONE card.
Futhermore the annual salary requirement for ONE Platinum has been revised from RM18,000 to RM48,000 per annum.

The rebate is not shown on the petrol pump itself, if that is what u want to know.
It will be shown on your statement instead.

Actually its just the same like other point based creditcards, just that the difference is this is cash rebate that u can use to buy/redeem stuffs.

Maybank American Express still got 2x points for petrol stations.
But i think until 31st July only

If u are a good cardholder eg use alot and good payment record, they will definitely happy to waive it for u.

Depend on which bank, some doesnt need activation (eg Maybank, Citibank)

Others usually 1-3months, some will call u to activate and might even offer u some preloaded amount.

How many cards u have?

If u have too many cards, some bank wont approve u coz they have to do risk management.
