Took some time to dig through the old papers as the info is not available on the CIMB/Direct Access website yet

3 plans exist (Min Purchase Amount, No of monthly installments, One time Interest)

- RM 1K, 10, 2%
- RM 3K, 20, 4%
- RM 5K, 30, 6%

You can convert ANY of your purchases (local or abroad) to the plans above. Need to settle monthly installment in full or the outstanding amount will be charged 1.5% interest. The entire purchase amount will be taken out from your credit limit and will be gradually released back as you make the monthly installments.

Comparatively the old plan is (For Direct Access / CIMB)

- RM500, 12, 3% / RM500, 12, 3%
- RM3K, 24, 4.5% / RM3K, 24, 4%
- RM5K, 36, 6.5% / RM5K, 36, 5.5%

Depend on which bank, some doesnt need activation (eg Maybank, Citibank)

Others usually 1-3months, some will call u to activate and might even offer u some preloaded amount.

Anyone that receive a call that related to credit card? A malay lady called me this morning and asking whether I'm using credit card or not. (I'm not really clear what she was saying that time) This is most probably a scam.

So far still no fraud case. Touch wood that I won't be getting in the nearest future.
What's the number of the caller?

It seems that I do need to return a yellow form to bank to activate my card.

Anyone know how long it takes to activate? Or do I need to wait for them to send me the pin? sweat.gif

Yup most likely a scam. I get these calls all the time - modus operandi, use a Digi mobile number and claim they are calling from a company. Why can't the company reveal their phone number upfront right ? And why ask whether use credit card or not if they are already your bank ?

Sometime they'll also call and ask that they want to check your credit card number. Never ... never reveal your credit card details to suspicious calls. If they are truly your bank, they know your personal information already. Don't need to ask you so much.

Which bank's card are you talking about ?
