Hmm, looks cheap stuff to me, but as long I can do day trade and escape the pattern day trader, will save almost 40%of trading fees.

yes, looks very cheap. That's why I forgotten about it. maybe after account is funded then they give the java platform.

They also mention that you need to have 25k if you are in pattern day trader category.

Anyway going from SOGO to Just2Trade will not save that much. only 50cents per trade. However if monthly trade is huge then it is worth it.

SOGO - pending account opening.

Anyway - whichever is faster, they will have my account with them.

Yeah, go for the faster one. Any way last 2 weeks when I try to link my bank acc with Sogotrade, this is what I got.

I apologize for the inconvenience. Our company policy was just changed and we now require an original voided check (no starter checks) on file before any ACH transfers can be made. We can no longer accept faxes or emails or bank statements.

Maybe they need the original signature & w-8BEN form prior to account openning. This is my assumption only you can ask them for details. Previously I only need <1 week to get my account approved.

mynewuser, one thing to confirm: are you sure maybank only charge RM 10? and US charges USD 23?
from my previous experience, maybank charge RM25 while US charge US15.
I am moving to Sogo soon. May be we can share some experiences. smile.gif

It confirm that the charge is RM 10 for TT through online. If you use counter then maybank will charge RM 25.

Sogotrade should be able to accept scanned copy, from what I chatted with them.

If Just2trade allows check withdrawal, it saves more than Sogo, which only allows US$50 outgoing wire for foreigners.

But don't forget, Sogotrade offers first month free (100 trades), this will beat just2trade in short term. smile.gif

I just send them today. I send via registered post which cost me RM6.40 only. Take approximately 10 working days to arrive.

No I do not TT my fund to my US bank acc. I buy paypal fund at slightly lower than market rate & withdraw it to my US bank acc. Totally free. no charge incur to me. It take slightly longer time tough.

Yes they accept scan copy but subsequently you still need to mail the original form.

NOTE :
Thisis going to be a very key earnings week. The only DJIA component to report its Q3 period report so far has been Alcoa Inc. (NYSE: AA). But we have earnings this week coming from six DJIA components: Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC), Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ), JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM), International Business Machines (NYSE: IBM), Bank of America Corporation (NYSE: BAC), and General Electric Co. (NYSE: GE). Citigroup Inc. (NYSE: C) is no longer a DJIA component, but that is still a recent change.

News on ETFC:
QUOTE
E*Trade Financial CEO Layton to Resign at Year’s End

Sept. 9 (Bloomberg) -- E*Trade Financial Corp., the online brokerage that’s been unprofitable for two years, said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Donald Layton will step down at the end of the year after reducing the company’s debt burden.

Layton, 59, became CEO in March 2008 after joining E*Trade’s board in November of the previous year, when the company ousted Mitchell Caplan and received a $2.55 billion cash infusion from Citadel Investment Group LLC, now its largest shareholder. Layton’s contract was set to expire at the end of this year, the New York-based company said today in a statement.

Layton oversaw E*Trade’s recovery from the collapse of the subprime mortgage market. Cash from Citadel helped the brokerage weather defaults, and Layton orchestrated a $1.7 billion exchange of debt into zero-coupon convertible bonds to reduce interest costs. E*Trade shares have almost tripled since a record low of 59 cents in March, and last quarter the company posted a smaller loss than analysts estimated because it set aside less money for future defaults.

“Now that our major recapitalization is complete and the online brokerage business is growing again, I have accomplished what was needed for me to end my time as CEO on schedule,” Layton said in the statement.

Layton said in an interview today that in his last months as CEO he will focus on budget plans; growing business among customers who invest $100,000 to $1 million, usually referred to as the mass-affluent market; and further strengthening the balance sheet. He said it’s “imminently doable” to have his replacement secured by the end of the year.

E*Trade shares advanced 0.6 percent to $1.66 today. Since the end of last year, they’ve climbed 44 percent, compared with a 48 percent rally in the NYSE Arca Securities Broker/Dealer Index that tracks E*Trade and 10 rivals.

Layton received about $11.8 million in compensation last year, including options and restricted stock that vest through 2009, according to a 2008 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He didn’t receive any bonuses in cash, the filing said. He will be paid $375,000 a month through the end of the year and $1.5 million at year-end in return for helping the board search for a successor, E*Trade said in a separate SEC filing.

C up in after-hours trade by 0.05.
Trying to short but no share available. Means there's huge hope the Quarterly report will beat estimate of -0.21EPS?

I'm already on ETFC boat last week at 1.70. Any dip will be opp to buy.
