Why you want to use foreign cc to top up? Is there a special cc gives good benefit if the MCC match?

By the way, appreciate other member could advice on BigPay Top Up under which MCC.

As for the top up and withdraw whether get banned or suspension, have been discussed heavily. Suggest you use search feature to read the relevant post.

The answer is yes if you do it intentionally.
The answer is no if you do it when needed.
Don't do it when you doubt it.

foreigners or expats could be holding non Malaysian card.

Hey guys, Jonathan from BigPay here. I just created my lowyat account last week and I’m finally taking the time to introduce myself. I’ve been reading this thread on & off for a while and I’m definitely impressed by the overall level of engagement.

We actually discovered some issues through some of your messages and we’ve addressed some / are addressing others. We do have to prioritise though, but we really appreciate when issues are being discovered and feedback is given. We do read!

The reason why we’ve decided to be active on this forum is... because we actually want to build something that enhances the way you use and manage your money. This starts with listening to your feedback and incorporating what we can quickly. Your feedback is heard and drives the direction we take BigPay beyond just an e-wallet or bank. We’re far from being perfect and we’re still figuring out some things as we go, but the goal is definitely to get better and we need to have conversations with our users in order to get there.

That being said, I’d like to stay away as much as possible from personal customer support in here if possible  But I’m happy to point you guys in the right direction.

If you have anything you think we should be better at... Please share!

hye do we validate the official bigpay rep or a way to proper tag/badge for him (if any)? something like twitter's verified account.

the only thing i could think of to consolidate mutiple bigpay accounts into 1 main bigpay account is to consolidate the bigpoints.

reload and spending, yes can be done via p2p. but bigpoints are credited to the bigpay account.

if primary bigpay is the main spender which accumulates bigpoints, the secondary bigpay spending (and earning bigpoint) would be a waste.

or, is there a way to transfer bigpoints p2p via bigpay app too?

So at the moment is BP provide the QR scan payment to the merchant yet?
*
is the feature available in today's app?

it need both parties to involve. bigpay to develop, test, implement, and enable this feature (to recognize the merchant QR) .... and merchants to onboard with them with offers.

why not ask BigPayJonathan if QR Pay is in their pipeline? if yes, does it partner with other QR solutions, e.g. Maybank QRpay or standalone per BNM's ICTF?

If you think of it, it's a completely different strategy. Our card is accepted everywhere in the world - not just in Malaysia. Other players need to individually acquire each merchant. In terms of scaleability, it's a bit of a nightmare... We don't want to be limited. We want people to use BigPay absolutely everywhere and for everything. Plus, what happens if your phone's out of battery or if you don't have any signal? When we roll out paywave, I don't see how it won't be just as easy (if not easier) to tap your card rather than going into an app and triggering a QR payment smile.gif But I'm happy to hear y'all opinions on it!
*
yep, that's the plus point. instead of acquiring merchants to adopt own wallet, better tag with major card network scheme, visa or mastercard, whereby merchants are available globally. low acquisition cost. just need to other costs for the card-related items.

noted on "paywave". are you referring to visa paywave (hint hint visa option? brows.gif ) or generally as "wave" for your current bigpay mastercard?

*
read HLB's Digital Day 7/7 offers.

nobody can guarantee 7% cb. a small gamble to try. wait for result to know.

@bigpayjonathan just want to check, is it bigpay backend not able to scale the workload which increase significantly?
*
they can do. but they need to balance the capacity increase (i.e cost) vs workload projection (i.e. user experience).

not an easy task to do, in a short period of time. need more studies/data analysis to find out sudden workload spike that caused downtime (if this was the scenario).

yesterday's 7hr downtime was their issue, but we dont know (likely wont know the real root cause) WHAT contributed to the downtime, right? smile.gif could be hardware failure, could be unable to handle transaction workload, or could be credit card network down, or bigpay billing system down, etc etc

im curious know can i just top up biypay by using CC and earn some cc cash back then withdrawal it every month? sorry newbie here...
*
2 parts:

"top up biypay by using CC and earn some cc cash" = read post #1 for preferred cards

"withdrawal it every month" = withdrawal feature is available, but over-withdrawing without usage may trigger bigpay to suspend your account (i.e. credit) for further investigation. do not abuse the feature unnecessarily.

withdraw cash also need the fund from somewhere wat. doh.gif fund doesnt drop from the sky and walk into bigpay wallet mah.

follow your scenario above: if you reload bigpay using cc, but somehow deducted from cc, but not in bigpay, how? laugh.gif what if bigpay banned your account and not allow you to withdraw at all, how?
