They didn't kacau u la actually.just all come and gather at u . if u r beautiful loh... haha
And Most of the time they will help u all the things(take advantage of guys brows.gif )

Hmmmm...
Culinary arts abit busy (from starting till end)
But For me , im interest in cooking , i really enjoy this course. i feel really really tired after i cook and did my stuff.
When cooking i didn't feel abit tiredness. Just after.

For more details.
Culinary arts is all French cooking,No chinese nor Western cooking.
So u like french style cooking?
There is some thing u got to learn.
French cooking, Pastry Cooking AKA Bread/Sweet Dessert, Restaurant Operation(Introduction of restaurant and how restaurant works and etc., Wine Study(Most difficult), Basic math and accounting, PC Study(MS word and etc etc), 1st year there will be F&B training. means u go to a fine dinning cuisine and work there as a Waitress. 3 months

2nd year.
No more restaurant operation , French Language Study. and etc etc. Get the detail on Taylors brouches.

For higher diploma.( Option A and B)
Option B
More on management and still have kitchen cooking.
For Culinary Student, U have 5 month of Industry Train like planetshaker.
after that u need to write a report and etc.
for the final year u will be tested the skill of Culinary Arts and F&B management.

For Option A i dont really know anything.
All on Management , no kitchen at all.

So r u ready for this course?
If u really interested in Cooking u will enjoy alot in this course.

oh really ? tongue.gif

do they still have the fren get fren scheme ? tongue.gif
where a fren introduce a person to register and will get rm 500 laugh.gif

we can share the rm 250 tongue.gif

study business bah
culinary arts....ive met so many culinary arts students during my training which is right now...chat with them
and most of them still end up as commis even after 1-2 years

or maybe u can take hotel management to try out....whether ur really into cooking or not....if not into cooking...u can always switch to management side in hotel...aka OPTION A / OPTION B

since business is in ur choice....management side is almost similar to business studies

Hi all...
I am waiting for my SPM result now and I'm interested with Culinary Art,but i scare my future will be nothing. My brother not support me at all, because he said won't have a good future.

Well,I want to ask:-
1.Is this course fun?
2.Is Taylors College good?(i mean lecturers,equipment etc)
3.What can i do after graduated?

I need u'll help.I say thanks 2 all of u 1st~
THANK YOU~!!!!!!!!!!!

oh ya,industry training got salary???tongue.gif
*
1. do u hav the passion? as in passion to further/modifying enhance ur food tongue.gif ...cos everyone can cook...its up to whether or not u have the flair and passion to be special.... for eg...anyone can make nasi lemak.... do u hav the passion to create a unique nasi lemak (make u stand out) ..not just nasi lemak but for ur other dishes ..for ur every dishes that u make...instead of just following the recipe or illustration 100 %

2. oh well if u see taylors new t shirt (which i bought laugh.gif ) front is nice...but at the back it says best hospitality school..bla bla bla.... yea and if not mistaken their kitchen is the largest in msia (for a college of course) and they have the well known (in college) chef patrick siau........ laugh.gif

3. be a commis with a salary of rm 700-900 per month 5 star hotel...prepare to work long hours...very very hard to climb up the ladder since most of the chef already knew wat u knew(unless u got some unique skills/dishes) which can bring u up the ladder.....if not...u can never be an executive chef tongue.gif

if u take hotel management... if u don like kitchen...u can always switch to restaurant/service side...or management side.... smile.gif

love cooking as a hobby OR cooking as ur career (30-40 years)
think carefully...like my mom...enjoys baking/cooking ( cook/bake well) but never tot of chef as a career

Hmm I love culinary arts but just never thought of it as a career. A friend who's a chef says it's a very competitive world out there, fighting hiding and stealing recipes it's insane! Don't know if I can cope with the stuff. Anyhoo, it's very rewarding too but you must have a passion for it definitely!
