just have a quick chat with my SA since my car is still donno when it will arrive. according to this guy .. curently proton stops all production temporarily due to the new CPS engine launch. its more less they are planning to starts production with this new engine ....

anyone heard such news ? if this true .... does this means all new production car including persona will be equipped with new engine ?

Maybe all new engine will be equiped with either IAFM or CPS. Maybe it is more efficient to reduce the amount of engine variant.

As for production stop I don't think it is true (and not wise). In manufacturing stoping the production is a complete no no because no production = no output = no sales. They still need to pay the workers (and other cost) even with the line stop. I could be the production is slower since they in transitionng period.

if the new persona is CPS / IAFM i willing to wait

My SA also said the same thing but he also mention that there be difference in price. Already paid deposit if price naik are we entitled to old price or have to pay new price? Currently NO deliveries with old engine.. Suppose to get mine in 2-3 weeks with new engine.

No problem for 3rd speed(4 AT)..

Even a smaller 1100-1300cc(5speed manual tranny) car 3rd gear can drag to 140kmh...redline the Revv!..
