happen to me when i use my previous CRT TV.. very dif to read/see "menu" in game... & some time the sub "very" blur... after i switch to LCD TV.. all the menu & sub... very CLEAR..... .... so i think most 3rd GEN game must play using HDTV & LCD monitor la.... baru clear....

takde duit nak beli any of those,it's why im asking bout my non hdtv

playing MGS4 with a plain SDTV, the IQ will be quite underwhelming

nvm, u can play the 1st time through on SDTV, then save up for a PC monitor and replay it in HD and enjoy it even more

the next 10 times (maybe even more) would be on SDTV...
no income or allowance, so cant save anything i dont get

besides,even if i did have the money,it'll probably go to my cats and dogs

besides, i've a cat staying in my room...if i get an lcd tv.....it would have a scratch in no time!

OT aside, anyone here knows whether I can use PSP-PS3 remote play via LAN?
My PS3 is in the TV room, but the wireless router is in my bedroom. PS3 is connected via ethernet cable. Any ideas?

Gems like MGS, can be played over and over again until you can act out the cutscene (in real time video, mind you )

You are not missing much here.

Even on an SDTV it'll still feel amazing. Just don't stare too much at high def trailer and you won't know what to compare the SDTV image quality to.

as far as I know remote play is only available if the game has it supported, videos and music can run fine via the XMB via remote play.

Nevermind I got working it already.. Have to choose 'connect via private network' and then choose my wifi router

IT's a sin...MGS and GTA4 is much much more important than a measly exam...you can always repeat the subject...or even repeat the year...


I think the Remote play via LAN/router is for 20Gigers only laa...if you have 60/40/80 gigers...then it will try to connect directly to your ps3...but I could be wrong...

iPhone to interface with PS3 Blu-ray playback



Dubbed BD Touch, the technology aims to leverages the network capabilities of Blu-ray players, meaning that iPhones and iPod touches could soon add to their repertoire the ability to dual as a multimedia remote for supporting Blu-ray players like the PS3.

In addition, BD Touch could also serve to funnel movie extras from the PS3 to the iPhone, build an iPhone-based database of a user's movie collection, and beam iTunes Digital Copy versions of movies from Blu-ray discs to the Apple handhelds.

"It's a technology that is built into our professional Blu-Ray authoring tool that will allow studios, independent movie companies to enable BD Touch features," Denny Breitenfeld, the CTO of NetBlender, told Gizmodo. "These features send data in two directions from the Disc to the iPhone and vice versa. Video, Audio, text, and player commands can be sent."

Breitenfeld added that while the idea for remote control functionality has been well received, it should be noted that the BD Touch technology will also allow Blu-ray players to control the iPhone and iPod touch.

"One idea is to automatically pull up IMBD of the movie you are watching right on your iPhone or send the movie information a movie database on your phone," he explained. "The ideas are only limited to what people want and will use."

NetBlender plans on making its SDK available to all of the 100,000+ registered iPhone developers so they can begin work on "applications that easily work with all kinds of [Blu-ray] titles."
