hey guys, dont mean to break up your party, but wanted to ask something.
i've heard that certain games can be rather hard to see(words) on a normal non hdtv.. by the time i get my ps3,i think i would still be using my 20 year old tv so i was wondering... can i use trailers of games as a way to test out the tv? for example: i take the MGS gameplay demo, which is supposed to be(looks like it is) in HD. if i take that, play it on my tv,would it yield the same result as actually having a ps3 and playing an actual game? thanks |

well,i suppose im used to it seeing the ps2 but otherwise,it would be fairly similiar? if it is,im going to get a S video cable later play the trailers/demos thru my laptop, link it to my dvd player, and view it on the tv (the tv doesnt have a s video port-it is 2 decades old! if i can see the text on the tv by using this method, chances are i can see it when i actually play games on the ps3? thanks again |

QUOTE(acougan @ Apr 9 2008, 07:50 PM) nvm, u can play the 1st time through on SDTV, then save up for a PC monitor and replay it in HD and enjoy it even more the next 10 times (maybe even more) would be on SDTV...no income or allowance, so cant save anything i dont get besides, even if i did have the money,it'll probably go to my cats and dogs besides, i've a cat staying in my room...if i get an lcd tv.....it would have a scratch in no time! QUOTE(snipersnake @ Apr 22 2008, 04:54 AM) yes, a fat32 compatible drive, PSP to be easier sounds like someone has done this before.. 1. If you buy one game, PSN will record it in the system.Lets say your HDD is fcuked, you will have to log inside PSN, go to downloaded items entry and redownload, for free of course. But you can only do this, 5 times. Demos? you have to download again , but no limit. 2. If you want to reformat the hdd (linux, upgrading etc )you can back everyhting up in a flash drive or a compatible hdd (i used a plain hdd with USB to IDE cable.) |
