if can , try to pay by post..
at least got evidence if something goes wrong.
*
hehe..i remember the last time i paid by post is when i first register with acca..
thereafter i never use by post,i think using credit card is convenient and got acknowledgement, better than by post lo..
somemore it don't need to wait few days to clear the balance..it is immediate once ur transaction is successful. smile.gif

I hope students are still allowed to be flexible though. Can anyone confirm?
*
ACCA is flexible enough, they just need you to follow the module,so assume u pass ur P1 and P2,u can take P3 with optional, jus you cannot skip ur essential and take option only...

QUOTE(coolkid23 @ Apr 9 2008, 06:19 PM)
if there is NO barrier of tuition fees...
which college will u choose?
Based on ur conscience..answer me...
20k, 30k.. is not a big amount if compared to those students who go oversea.
everything has pros and cons.. if u in favor of which side more.. then go ahead...
*
i think there is no right or wrong answer..it all comes back to your own choice..
if there is no barrier of tuition fee,i think i prefer go to UK to take my ACCA..most important can travel around.. rclxms.gif
i think for those who went to sunway,it is becoz sunway can provide them a whole package of study lifestyle, such as environment, college life, facilities etc,and of coz,all these need money, and that's y some ppl buy bmw instead of proton..
but for some ppl like me,i can let go the college life like hanging around in the campus, but i remember when i studied my ACCA last time,i do have my own way of college life as i am also hanging around in the college (tuition centre) library..and i am quite happy with it..
with the minimum enjoyment and minimum cost to spend,i also able to finish my ACCA in 3 years..so what i want to say is this is all depends on what you want..it is all about CHOICE..

Everyone is giving subjective opinion.
Well, EdgarNg, as a sunway student, you rebutted what did Thanatos point of view, and support Carlosandy apparently.
It's quite ridiculous. If KSA is so called "better off", why u study in Sunway?
Everyone is giving subjective opinion, but u are the exception.

For the grandchildren is just an example.
For my example, my sisters are in university...
University life is so attractive as she mentioned.
They are having university life...
This is differ from SPM or STPM.
This is the happy and enjoyable moment which can be only found in University.
After that, you will come out for practical or work..
U cannot enjoy these life anymore.
No doubt, KSA could have college life as well. It is based on personal presumption.
Attending class can be a happy act if u think it is fit for your purpose.
*
everyone has the right to give his or her opinion..studying in sunway does not mean must fully support sunway, just for eg,u work in a bad company, does it mean u have to resign tomorrow?if not, does that mean no matter how bad the company,u have to tell ppl it is a very good company?
sometime there are so many factors that can affect the decision of one people, such as location of the college or the comfort to stay with one college..

i still remember last time when i studied in FTMS,i don't have all the good lecturers but i still stick with FTMS becoz i believe as long as i willing to work hard and pay my effort, even though i have average lecturer,i still can pass the exam, and all these thoughts are proven right coz i pass my exam..

EdgarNg, icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif to you..

Meeting deadline & deadline, NO JOB SATISFACTION at all !! No commision, people can back on time, u still need to work.... blink.gif

if u are party girl, definitely audit and account line is not suitable for u..

do consider public relation or marketing.. biggrin.gif

Oh... i see... thx a lot... well u still haven answer all my question... XD... so i'll ask again... current status: DIA in Segi college(systematic) last semester...

Problem: can i join the part 2 ACCA course in sunway university college??
*
you have to check with acca for the exemption u entitled before u decide to join any paper or any college for ur part 2 studies.

As u know, acca is jus external exam,so u can join part 2 class in sunway provided u pay ur money, but without registering urself with acca as a student and claim ur exemption, basically u cannot join the exam at all. smile.gif

I have completed my ACCA..
How i study?
Attend class, revise and learn application of knowledge..
study 24 hours non stop wont make u pass ACCA..it is an exam that can pass with study smart and not study hard..

QUOTE(stephanie0721 @ Apr 28 2008, 05:24 PM)
err..
i m confued here..
May i ask..is it possible for me to study acca level 1 instead of cat?
i register for acca wif my UEC qualification weeks ago..
according to a consultant, it is a rare case since majority of student wil possess a cat qualification prior to taking acca course.
my classmate is studying acca now..she said tat she rather study cat though it's time consuming as acca is tough..
did i make a right decision..?
i nid ur advice..thx ^^
*
if i were u,i will study acca level one instead of cat, reason behind is that u just need to complete three papers then u can proceed to ur part two and even if u don pass the papers,u still can combine ur level one and level two papers together to continue ur exam, whereas in cat,u have to study about 9 papers and also to complete cat before u can proceed to acca..

when i decided to study my acca, the consultant in the college is trying to persuade me to take cat saying that i don't have accounting background, but i think it is worth taking risk to try acca level one coz i am able to save time and cost..so don influenced by ppl that acca is tough, even though u studied cat, acca can be tough for u also..so jus try your best to learn and cope up with this exam and get ur acca qualification.

thx for ur advice ^^
err..i hav a question here..
does it mean tat studying acca wil lose an oppurtuniry to derive stronger foundation from cat?  sad.gif  sad.gif
yup..i faced the same situation as u when i went for registration..the consultant continuosly convinced me to take cat..claiming tat UEC cert is not qualified to pursue acca..then he called UEC authorities to clarify..ultimately, he was consent wif my registration for acca.
i wonder if strong foundation in accountansy is requisite to study acca. After all, my highest qualification is UEC and knowledge in book-keeping.

i can assure u u dont need strong foundation to study acca, becoz u still have book keeping knowledge while i have 0 when i study my part 1..
u close one door and another door open for u,if u think u will lose opportunity to derive stronger foundation, why not jus spend more time to enhance ur foundation when u study ur fundamental level for acca,it is all up to u,u wan longer time possibly strong foundation or u wan to do ur acca straight away and face any challenge that u are going to have in coming future.. smile.gif

umm..yup..u r right..
ur words make me feel better ^^ thx
i wil do as what u suggest during my studies of acca part 1..hehe..
my class is oni started in July..~
may i ask , how r u getting along wif ur acca now?
my biggest problem is my poor English..  sad.gif  sad.gif  ot might b a barrier for me too..  sad.gif  sad.gif
Coz acca is completely conducted in English..i m afraid i won b able to cope wif it as i graduated from a Chinese Independent school..rarely do we use or speak english during our school day.  sad.gif
*
umm..glad to hear that..
how am i get along with my acca a?yeee.....i no need to get along with my acca exam anymore coz i already graduated.. brows.gif
from the way u write ur post,i think u don't have big problem in english,of coz english is important ,so what u shd do is keep on improving ur english along the way u study ur acca even after u graduated...
btw,i am from chinese independent school also.. brows.gif brows.gif

err..i hav ever thought about using n ENG-ENG dictionary..perhaps after a certain period to brush up my English..
it's said tat there's an obvious advantage for those who r learning their 2nd languege..
but what u suggested is  an efficient method to improve Eng though..
well..i 'll pick up ur idea ^^
thx alot~  smile.gif  smile.gif
