Yes pretty much. It ensures that all your frets are at the same height (after continuous playing some of your frets will go uneven, some higher or lower than the others, especially around the frets that you play the most). Fret levelling enables you to have lower action and of coz, the frets will be polished hence giving you a 'smoother' feeling.
Ok I'm gonna watch the vid Blacktrix. I just REFUSE to believe that Marty Friedman can be pwned by Dragonforce! |

Hahahhahaha..... of course Marty played better! Marty can run circles around them! Notice how clean he played WITH his finger......
Sam technically cheated by using his pick....... but then again, they didn't really stipulated the rules. It's funny how the japs jumped up when they saw Sam's reverse hand tapping. But what the heck was Rolly doing for the second SFX challenge? The first one, Ok..... I kinda get the choo choo train...... but what the heck was the other one? Spider crawling up a chute? And honestly..... it's quite hard to beat the Dive Bomb from Hell. |

a loop pedal basically plays back what you've recorded, over and over again.. there are some nice gilbert vids on youtube with him using a loop pedal(that's how he sweep picked an arpeggio with his ass

Why not go for an Iceman?
Another guitar to throw off your purchasing decision. I'm actually glad to see that the Iceman is making a comeback. It's still a very cool design and to me, just screams Ibanez (even though Fernendes came up with one as well). Oh yeah, do you want a Trem guitar? If you want a Trem guitar for "shredding", don't get the RR3. The bolt-on neck really hinders upper fret access if you play fast and would suggest a neck-thru Super-Strat instead. The Ibanez S is a VERY decent, shreddeble guitar. The Ibanez S470 is around the same price of an RR3 with a MUCH better trem and better upper fret access. HOWEVER, if you want the looks and a great metal sound, the RR3 is the way to go. Actually, if you don't need the trem, go for the RR5. Neck-thru design and sounds amazing. |
