Hey guys,
Just wondering whether it would be easy for a discontinued tube amp to undergo repairs, just in case it breaks down i.e the parts etc?

for all of you with floating trems, how do you change your strings? one by one, two by two or all at once?
also, how will those affect your action and intonation? each time restring must readjust ? |

QUOTE(SweetTooth @ Dec 11 2007, 03:18 AM) for all of you with floating trems, how do you change your strings? one by one, two by two or all at once? I take them all off and give my guitar a good cleaning before I restring it.also, how will those affect your action and intonation? each time restring must readjust ? About the intonation and action thingy, if you intonate and set your action according to fresh strings, it will be just as it is when you restring it with fresh strings, no matter how you restring it. The problem is your intonation and action will change as your string loses its tension. |

I'm checking out Bentley around 2 today. Bringing either my RR3 or LP to test out some amps before I make my final decision of the Ceritatone.

QUOTE(Rossie @ Dec 8 2007, 12:07 PM) I helped a friend setup his RG2550ex a week ago, the high e string kept on snapping... That's because earlier 2550EX's wizard neck is 17mm thick while nowaday's neck is 18mm. A/B-ed it with my friend's earlier RG2550ex, there is a difference in workmanship... The earlier one played much better, and the neck is thinner too... The binding on the new one looks el-cheapo though... blacktrix, what brand/model of hardcase you got for your RR3 again? Bentley runs out of stock that day (I forgot the brand) This post has been edited by davidletterboyz: Dec 11 2007, 01:46 PM |

Hi guys, i am going to KL next week to buy my first ever electric guitar. What shop should i go to? i've only got a day there. and what guitar and amp would you suggest me to buy considering that my budget is around 1400~ for guitar and amplifier. I'm thinking of using 450 for amp and the rest for guitar but i dont know because i dont have any experience. What do you suggest?
Thanks. |

Um, what kind of music you looking to play?
I would suggest the Ibanez GSA60. It's an all rounder and sounds quite ok for the price. Either that or an SX. Best shops? Bentley for the guitars, CK Music for the amp (VOX FTW!)..... both having year end sales so it's a great time to buy it. |
