I'm not saying Michael Bay is a bad Director, I'm just saying that there are alot more good directors out there. He did a good job in TRansformer 1, but somehow his movie are becoming abit too familiar for me. All his movies remind me of The Island, face paced action, non stop chase scene, disarray camera, super close up on character's face pores, etc. Nevertheless, it was a smart move to have Steven SPielberg as the producer. Having two smart guys are better than one.

I'd like to see what other directors can do. People like Peter Jackson (LOTR,King Kong), Wachowski bros (The Matrix), even J.J. Abram (Alias). These are the current top directors of our generation. I guess what I hope to see is some great new angles in what going to be the most awaited sequel of 2009?

Transformers 2 Gets at Least 3 IMAX Scenes

Variety reports that director Michael Bay will film at least three action set pieces using IMAX cameras for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The trade adds that director Jon Favreau has discussed using IMAX cameras in filming Iron Man 2, while director D.J. Caruso has expressed interest in doing so for future projects such as Y: The Last Man.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen opens June 26, 2009, Iron Man 2 on May 7, 2010 and Y: The Last Man has no release date yet.

Following up on last night's brief Variety report, IMAX Corporation has now officially announced that Michael Bay will shoot select scenes of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen with IMAX cameras:

IMAX Corporation, DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures today announced that director Michael Bay will shoot key sequences of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen with IMAX® cameras. Bay will integrate the IMAX footage with state of the art CGI to create an unprecedented look and feel for the highly anticipated sequel to last year's box office hit, Transformers. As previously announced, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be released to IMAX® theatres simultaneously with the movie's wide release on June 26, 2009.

The movie sequences shot in traditional 35mm will be digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The IMAX DMR scenes will appear in the traditional "letterbox" shape, while scenes shot with IMAX's cameras will expand vertically to fill the entire IMAX screen.

"The extraordinary level of detail and intensity captured by the IMAX camera creates many exciting possibilities for us with this film," said Michael Bay, the film's director. "IMAX's all-encompassing format will take this story to a new level, and I am once again very excited to share The IMAX Experience with Transformers fans around the world."

LaBeouf Hurt In Transformers 2 Set Accident

Actor Shia LaBeouf is nursing a new injury after an accident on the set of the new Transformers movie which reportedly left him needing stitches above the eye.

The star has been working with a mangled hand since he was involved in a Hollywood car crash in July.

His injury had to be written into the plot for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen to prevent a hold up in filming, but according to website TMZ.com, shooting has suffered another setback after Labeouf was injured by a prop.

However, production was only briefly disrupted - TMZ claims the 22 year old had the cut stitched up and returned to work straight afterwards.

A representative for Labeouf has issued a stern "no comment" on the alleged accident.
