Just my 2 cents. If u r at home why dun just get a power full nail gun with tons of nails and maybe some extension plug. That's waayy much cheaper and legal.

Don't bother.. my father tried to bribe his way through to get the license from my grandpa transferred to him.. Used more than RM30k liao bribing ppl from various department.. different level.. At the end also not approve. The license was given to my grandpa last time cause he has few acres of rural land..

Now my father kuasa the gun and transfer the license to my uncle instead.. so happen his some big shot in the police department..

A gun wont save your ass unless you carry it all the time and be on your guard.

If you are so guarded all the time stress and paranoia will kill you first before any hired killer does.

No need to look on real fire arms, just look at the road users or heck even most of the newbies paintball players already enough.
Its not even RESPONSIBILITY to them, its more like a right instead.

How are paintballers in malaysia? I have never done painballing since why play with paintballs when i have access to a gun range whenever i am on a business trip to the states.

With crime now being rampant, self defense comes to mind. But you can cower in fear in the corner.

Nail gun works on compress gas, not electricity. So you will need an air compressor which is rated at the specific psi for the type of nail gun you wanna use. Not that carrying a rather unweildy nail gun with a long snaking hose isnt troublesome, nail guns only penetrate an object if you place the nailgun directly on the item you wanna use it on. It usually doesnt have the velocity to travel a far distance to penetrate something over distance.

This video answers your question on why a nail gun does not work well at all as a self defense weapon.

Which is why you need to cultivate the habbit of "consistent carry" together with a "concealed weapon carry" mindset as well as the appropriate license for it.

Malaysias gun laws does not state that if you are a licensed gun owner, you are not allowed to carry your firearm with you in public but common sense will tell you not to.

So the issue now is not the gun problem, its the people who own it and their mentality which is to be questioned. A gun like anything else is a tool, its the person using it which decides how that "tool" is used.

gun = originally build to maim or even kill by design but not a killer, just a tool
paintball marker = you need crapload of over9000 toolshed mods to make it able to kill, dumbazz loses eye because of being dumb.

So far, there is always a bunch of tainted eggs in the sack. Almost all the time with our tanah air education and parenthood.

both different categories but both can do some damage like a harmless pen or pencil.
Not sure what you are trying to say, people play paintball for the sake of splatting paints on people using advanced projectile delivery method, instead of spraying paint using watergun.
And with paintball, you get to physically and mentally challenge urself in a game*, build team work, have fun time, unlike real lethal projectile where legally the most fun part is timed shooting or hunting. Can't just shoot people for fun, no ?

And no, I do not wanna enlist in the army or police.

Btw, you double quoted and double replied my single post. lol

its always been the people, the people the people.
Personally, as a Malaysian. I do not think majority of us is matured enough to responsibly own* a gun.

But if anyone higher on the PM/royal level approves it, so be it. I can only see more bloodsheds, only this time its not in your screen, its outside the window.
Lets face it, Malaysia is not USA or most western countries or countries that approve these stuff. We're not on the level yet, the crime these days are cause by economic disasters and gov actions, bringing guns into the equation will cause more devastating results. Heck, even after few decades of merdeka, we still fight for nonsense stuff.

This discussion goes almost every gun forum. Never ends.

gun> its a tool > tools don't kill people > people does > people gets gun > makes killing faster with gun > gun kills people > gun

Cant blame you if you have the perception about gun activities since there are practically none in malaysia. Who said you need to shoot ppl to have fun?

A friend of mine who lives in austin who was the one who intro me into guns is in a gun club as well as being a member of his local shooting range, they usually organize gun range days where they get together to talk and discuss about firearms as well as do some shooting on targets. once in awhile they go on gun expeditions whereby there go into el paso dessert area and put up dynamic targets and have gun challeneges like what nutnfancy youtuber does.

Shooting paints* on people for fun, dude do not mix with real guns here. Im not saying i like to use real guns to shoot people, im not supposed to kill to have fun. Who says we got no gun-activities* in MALsia ?
Try differentiate these two types of FUN, bro.

And because of most MALsians mentality, i personally don't think MALsians are ready for gun ownership. yada yada I know it because i'm a MALsian.

Lastly, lemme ask you one questions without bringing in anything U-S-A into it.
Do you think MALsians are ready for gun ownership ? Yes or No ?

I don't need to know the reason, because i understand both sides of fences. Just yes or not then you have your positions and opinion like everyone else.

Finally, i thought i'm done in this thread. My points are made very clearly, none can agree but the point is made truthfully.

From your earlier thread, you mentioned that paintballing is fun since you can shoot at each and there is teamwork and camaraderie in a paintball tournament but you cant derive the same amount of fun in a shooting tournament with dyanmic targets using actual guns. I know a few guys who would differ on that opinion since firearms is what their more into rather then paintballing, so i guess to each his own.

If you can convince the police that you require a firearm, then what i think is irrelevant since ultimately, its the police who have the authority to allow a law abiding citizen to own a firearm. My uncle in johor has 3 firearms to his name due to him owning a few plantations and whenever he ventures there, he requires it due to a number of wild animals, usually wild boars which roam his plantations which can be nuisance towards his crops as well as posing a real danger to himself as well as his employees whereby he has at least his shotgun or rifle with him to put down those animals, either to eradicate them from his plantation or for sport.

When i went to the US embassy in singapore for my visa application for work purposes, they never asked me whether i have handled a gun before nor did i tell them since its at my own discretion to inform them and if it wasnt one of the questions that i was "required" to answer, why should i divulge personal information which they didnt request from me?

If they dont ask, then i dont bother to tell them.

Plus on top of the us visa application, i had a background check done on me when i was a non-us resident contractor for the US navy.

Im an older American in Malaysia and gun owner all my life. I thought there might be some serious discussion here but mostly what i see is massive trolling, confusion, childish nonsense and untruths. So many posts and so much crap? Why? People could have had a some serious discussion and learn something too. Such a waste. Just saying.

Agreed. Some posted valuable info about the type of licenses. Same can't be said about the other posts. I can't imagine if firearms fell into wrong hands.
