i went to this forum to know about gun owning in malaysia while i was on a discussion with americans who are pro-gun enthusiast. i'm glad normal ppl are gun-less and malaysia had quite a small amount of gun accidents. Even so, once my regional leo club advisor got gunned down years ago (assassinated) and last year, the mlts are talking about a guy being found dead with multiple gunshot (prob along). If you always around chow kit area next to kg baru, you'll find a lot of police car with bullets embedded in their Gen-2 bumpers. interesting really.

i know this is an old thread, but i would like to mention that the riots in England could be prevented if gun ownership was higher. In LA riots there were a lot of shopowners who took arms and shot at rioters. If this was the case in London then there would be a lot less helpless people.

I was advised by a former state CPO that having a gun is a liability. This advice is from someone who has carried a gun all his working life, up to very senior rank in Bkt Aman. So it is very right of those bros who said what happens if you kill someone, especially with illegal gun, how are you ever going to get away with it? Our Msian police are VERY efficient if they want to be. You will NEVER get away with it.

Having said that, most males are very fascinated with guns (due to TV and movie influence). I only shoot when I'm invited by the police to go practise in their shooting range. And yes, gun training PRIOR to touching one is a MUST. Being a small Asian guy with short fingers smile.gif I find the H&K to be most suitable for me. Glocks and Sig Pro triggers are too far forward for me to aim and fire properly.

Those still interested, yes, the only good way is to go to a gun club (many in KL/Selangor), register yourself and try out their range guns. The sound of firing a gun in an indoor range, without ear muffs, might just frighten you enough to keep you away from guns forever, smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif

My uncle not only own but made it lol (shotgun) during 90an which buying bullet no need IC and document.

After sometimes give to Orang kampung who stay in Jungle.
Btw there is many self protect weapon/tool beside gun. Master it also good way to protect urself although might not as power as gun la.

I don't think register BB gun can be trace because bbgun different from gun which left trace on bullet than can be identify.

I don't have criminal record, apart from some saman from speeding and parking. Is it possible to own and carry handgun everywhere? reason self protection. I was once got chased by a bunch of rempits, luckily i escaped though. I was chased from Giant Bandar Kinrara almost all the way to Seri kembangan and not a single police car was spotted on the highway.
