not cannot tahan...my GTS320 is working perfectly for me right now.... all games i throw at it runs fine....even crysis @ Medium @ DX10
but then i really worried about the quad sli issue la...scared become like the 7950gx2 again i know a single gx2 itself is enough to whoop my GTS320 SLI already... |

only got drievrs for the 96 only for 9 series Added on March 14, 2008, 5:51 pm QUOTE(mois @ Mar 14 2008, 05:49 PM) since ur current gc serves u well, u dont need to change yet de...wait for their mature driver and let see the reviews...if its good, time to change lo.. yeah i know thats why i gonna wait for proper reviews and benchmarks of the actual product first and not just the ones weve seen online which i really doubt is the final productThis post has been edited by mADmAN: Mar 14 2008, 05:51 PM |

i kinda expected the GX2 to be power hungry monsters....
which is why IF i decide to go quad SLi on the GX2 ill be getting a second PSU i.e. SST DA650 to just power the cards only the rest of the system will be handled by my current OP750 This post has been edited by mADmAN: Mar 15 2008, 03:25 AM |

QUOTE(RegentCid @ Mar 15 2008, 03:16 PM) can't believe they make this 9800GX2 so expensive now the PSU for it also need damm expensive one...total all up is too high expenses le. Need SLi it u need 2 PSU for it and not all casing can slot in 2 PSU tehn need buy Lian Li V1200 Casing and spent another big amout againz V1200 only supports 1 PSU QUOTE(khaidani @ Mar 15 2008, 06:39 PM) technology is about improving the performance and improve the power consumption which is the less is better. They should aware about environmental friendly . actually.......... the G92 8 series are of lesser power comsumption than the previous gen 8 series......Nvidia should go to Ecodesign course |

can be done....u just need to know how (not that hard oso anyway...just google)
as for the 8pin....saw a review on the net for the zotac 9800GX2 and it came for the molex-8pin and molex-6pin converter. so dont need to worry... if it were me id probably get a strider 400w for all the other components and use the acbel for the GC only if ur running single GX2 then i guess the other way round is fine as well |

where to put is up to ur imagination la.....
should be more worried about how to turn the second PSU on when u press the power switch (got guides on the net...but u willing to do the mod or not is a diff thing). Added on March 19, 2008, 1:45 pm QUOTE(RegentCid @ Mar 19 2008, 01:42 PM) Souce from guru3d: continued....For whatever reason the retention clip on top of the 8-pin connector is too wide, and blocked by the chassis on the GX2. I took out six power supplies to verify if their 8-pin connector would fit on the GX2, among them SLI certified products .. only the Enermax Galaxy 1000 Watt PSU connectors was able to fit properly, and that's just crazy Haha..this word will kill alot ppl dream to get this 9800GX2 QUOTE For whatever reason the retention clip on top of the 8-pin connector is too wide, and blocked by the chassis on the GX2. I took out six power supplies to verify if their 8-pin connector would fit on the GX2, among them SLI certified products .. only the Enermax Galaxy 1000 Watt PSU connectors was able to fit properly, and that's just crazy. BFG inserted a 8-pin converter cable to bypass this problem ... and Murphy's law kicked in completely, that one didn't fit either. Now our sample is from an early batch, only 50 of these boards + 8-pin cable where shipped out, the new batches have that final (proper) 8-pin cable. But fact is, without that 8-pin feed, your card is not going to work. i doubt any of that 50 will reach malaysia SOURCE This post has been edited by mADmAN: Mar 19 2008, 01:45 PM |

QUOTE(RegentCid @ Mar 20 2008, 07:35 PM) Ya this karom BFG Price really good but 9800GX2 now still got alot unknow stuff...if i now buy 2 9800GX2 then PSU i need actually how many Watt and what brand of PSU i should get? 9800GX2 Driver is been Release 174.53 ...Madman 9800GX2 got proper driver le...times to you show us some power hehe QUOTE(mois @ Mar 20 2008, 08:06 PM) not yet buy la..... driver is 1 thing....have to wait and see reviews and benchmark oso... and also make sure quad SLI actually works for vista and XP.still gonna take 1 or 2 more months until i decide... if performance not worth it i might not buy oso....so far all the results has been very disappointing. |

looks like i am NOT going for quad SLI... since vista is required for quad sli to work and i have no intentions of fully migrating to vista just yet....
im still using XP quite heavily...and a move to vista wont be wise for me considering some of the softwares i use might not be compatible with vista... looks like ill be fully concentrating my funds towards my car's makeover |

QUOTE(Ezonizs @ Mar 26 2008, 02:57 PM) hell yeah....and guess wat...total cost is still cheaper than a 9800GX2 Quad SLi that includes bodykit, brand new front and rear bumpers, complete respray inside and out, sound proofing, and a few more titbits here and there for my lil kelisa QUOTE(tkh_1001 @ Mar 26 2008, 03:21 PM) actually i am...Tri SLi would probably be the best for me right now if i dont go Vista....but ive had another thought oso... considering im only playing at 1680*1050...i wonder if such high end cards in Tri SLi would be worth it. coz looking at the Quad SLI review... it only truly shows its real power in higher resolutions.....some games it even performs worse at lower resolutions...so it kinda makes me wonder.... n NO im not getting a bigger monitor oh well....mebbe ill just end up with a single 9800GX2... well see how it goes la....right now ive decided a GC upgrade is not really important for me considering my 8800GTS 320 SLi is working perfectly.....and gonna concentrate on my car |
