1. To change mode double click the Track Info panel. To change that you need to edit the script

2. You need to edit the config. Sorry, don't know the value. Ask the creator..

For the broken Chinese/Japanese/Korean tags, you need to retag it. No other way. :/


Change the width.

Just unzip it anywhere. And then load it. And of course you have to enable it in the dsp manager first.

any1 tried, after retag can still read in other player?

Well i did retag some of my Japanese songs using foobar and it worked on WMP10 but ... it didn't work on Winamp 5.1. Doesn't matter to me though.

It does matter if you share your musics files among your friend often..
Most my friend use winamp>windows media player>foo bar

Means i would need something which can support most player... which is winamp and windows media player

My problem is y foobar being able to display some but not all the chinese characters...

The 梁靜茹 in pic is being able to display properly in foobar, winamp, windows media player and also TTplayer..

my foobar does not work iwth my samurizer remote.

I don't know why it can't display some Chinese/Japanese characters. I just know that the only solution is to retag it. >_>

For people facing problem with their unicode displaying.. i have manage to fix it by doing some retagging(but not through foobar), anyone which is still interested to do it can message me..

i need to clarrified between a few things, hope you guys can clarrified it for me.
1. What is VBR, CBR and ABR, found these option when trying to encode my mp3.. Which one is recommend.
Which one has higher quality, or lesser file space being occupy?
2. What is the differences between IDv1, IDv2, APEv1, APEv2, which one is being used to display songs in Foobar?

1. for high quality use VBR
2. foobar use all (whatever it find)

- mp3 files, IDv1, IDv2, APEv1, APEv2
- mpc, flac, ape files, APEv1, APEv2 tag

hmm, but i got trouble playing .wma file with f2k... it'll popup a error msg asking for a license to play the file. with winamp its no problem at all... how to make f2k skip the license ordering or to force the f2k play the file anyway?

where to get gap killer,noise sharpening and skip silence?

usually mp3 use id3v1 or id3v2
preferences > palyback > input > standard input > mp3 tag writing

cbr = constant bitrate

After 2 days playing around with foobar, this is wut i get. The looks doesn't really appeal me but the sound amazing, can really hear the different from wmp.
Is there any plugin that lets you type part of the song name and search for songs in the database?



There's still few things wanna ask, I'm not gonna drag my toolbar around anymore, is there anyway i can remove those ugly lines? Go through the preferences cant find things regarding to that, or maybe i miss out.



Next how come it shows ? kbps while songs are playing. Show dynamic info enabled.



The last thing, i still dun get it how to use the albumart command u gave.

Is it put under album art panel, source for album cover art images? Replace the whole thing or just add in.
The F:\Covers in the command is where u save your cover art? Should i replace them with where i save my covers. Cover rename to Artist - Songs.jpg is it?

F3 will search from your playlist
right click toolbar > lock the toolbar
look in prefs / playback / input / standard inputs
you will see the "VBR bitrate display" optioin which needs to be enabled for %__bitrate_dynamic%.
F:\Covers is my folder, replace with your folder. Rename cover as artist - title.jpg or artist - album.jpg

btw,should i enable all dsp available like resampling,limiter etc??

Just install it over.. you config will stay.. everything is stored in file foobar2000.cfg

The dsp depends on your need. I only use Convolver and Advanced Limiter
