Lets talk about FPS on 360. I know there are already alot of specific thread for 360 FPS games, but this is a place to chill and talk about the best games, how do you like ure controllers, ure upcoming FPS games, etc.
I just finished Halo, and to be honest I thought the campaign is lacking. I wish it had more depth. Somehow I thought the story on Halo 1 is better biggrin.gif. It took me a night to finish it no kidding. I took the easy mode though.

Im contemplating whether to get COD4 or not. I dont quite like all my FPS games on my 360 like COD3 and Halo 3. The controls dont quite match my using the mouse and KB. I dont think Im getting the Orange Box on 360...

Let's talk about life as a gamer. I'm a student and have a little time to play. But I do when I could. 360 is fun but I dont really get involved in the Live community, I play games without the headset tongue.gif So, tell us about how you juggle your life with games

Halo 3's MP is really good but most local players are playing COD4 atm. Though Halo 3 still has the most players (worldwide) online.

what really? i wake up for subuh and continue studying till class at 8am.. i never return home until about 6pm due to the stupid snow, thus dont want to spend time in the cold

pray maghrib then continue doing homework due the next day. dinish everything at about 11 time to sleep. weekends got club activities which is fun la, but i like games too...

however i can never compete with them online as i have no practice time. i still like playing games alone and socialize in the real world. will never get good at this.

Short SPs for current FPSs are a boon IMHO.

Married, having a career to juggle with a baby on the way...THAT will test how creatively you can manage your time.

I'm lucky to have a wife who understands, but that seriously will limit my choices of games to those that aren't too long. I don't take the online portions too seriously though that's why I don't mind being owned at Halo 3 or COD 4 - it's all for fun anyways, and I sometimes can give as good as I get.

hey bro enjoy the games while u can.
Studying is the best time of your life.
Your only comitment = pass examx make parents proud.
Working ppl have more than 2 comitments.

If you say working ppl best lar.
Think again.
I would anytime want to be in your shoes again....

Its all about how u devide ur time. Like myself .. i work on shift, what to do ... it pays well smile.gif

And sometimes i have to work like 4 days night shift in a row and i will not be able to play on live with my frens at all but I do have my off-days and on those days, i just go at my 360 for the whole day playing games.

Sometimes i wish i was still in college cuz got more time to play games but without any income .. cant seem to my games.

when i was a student..all i did was dream of the x360. till then i had to resort to pc gaming..sharing with frens...buying all jacksparrow stuff even for the ps2 (obviously). but when i graduated, got a job..bought the x360 with my first pay (which was, fortunately 1 month + 1/2 pay as i joined the middle of the month). even though my first set died on me, got to trade it with elite. been buying games ever since, without being deprived of money, thank God.

nope, i don't make a lot of money..my pay is average for a fresh grad. and yes i have my own car to pay for AND my lcd tv to pay off.

about time..well i do enjoy the weekends with gaming, and i seldom game online (except with halo 3), but sometimes when i get back from work i try to sneak in a few hours of game time.

i'm not married yet, but my soon to be wife understands my gaming life (so much as to call my xbox my first wife tongue.gif ) so it should be no problem.

so far, i'm enjoying my life as an independent, original gamer. thank God for that! biggrin.gif

Let me list down those ppl that can play 24/7 that i know: tongue.gif

Harklis(booster), gnome(booster), firearm5(whore), huss(whore)

If i'm still in college now, I will be pretty much like above mentioned.

The ironic part is that in college I have the time to play game but no money to buy. Now I have money to buy all the games that I want but no time to play sad.gif

I work hard everyday until 9-10pm then get home bath, and play 360 all the way until 2am. (I set 2am as latest I can play but....... tongue.gif) Next day wake up 9.30am and go to work again. Tired take coffee.

So my advice to school/college/uni gamer frens, enjoy life while you can.

Working life isn't really gaming-friendly... i bought 8 games this month, and 4 are still unpacked, 2 finished, and 2 still playing slowly, well, until the box died. Especially year's end, everyone is rushing to close project sites, sometimes when i get home, im too tried to play games...

hahaa reading that made me laugh cos i am DONE with SPM. rclxms.gif rclxm9.gif icon_idea.gif

ahem... anyway, yeah. so back in the good old days, i lived a life of a student gamer. and had to resort to buying the 'arrr matey' games for the ps2 and pc. and i think that really spoiled me. i started to buy a ton of games and finish only a handful. and somehow it also made me lose interest in my games cos there's always the thought of just going to a game shop and buy another 10 games.

but hopefully once i buy my 360 and start to buy original games now that i can earn my money by working, things are lookin grrreat! thumbup.gif

Mudlogger? That is a chemical engineer or a process engineer? nice. The perks are there and all but living a month or two in the oilrig is a lot to ask for though

well im a college student, and its tough, cause i have to score well in my alevels to move on to my next level of education. I know its contradictory that i game, go out, sports etc when i wanna become a doctor. its crazy. like i dont dare play any long games when im not on holiday. thats why my gamertag score is only 1000+ after 1 year. but thankfully i have WE08 now, which i can afford to play like one or two mathces before heading to sleep every night.

any gamers practicing medicine or studying medicine. i doubt there are any cry.gif

As part of working people, I seldom plays games nowadays. Except on night time , that is if I'm not that tired. Most of the time I would be talking to my gf over the phone hehehe. tongue.gif

But on fridays night till late morning, now that is my TIME to play a game. Not sure why but only on that day I would have mood to play games.

Ahh.. I used to remember the old times when I was in university. Everyday would play games and when it comes to exam period, the more crazy I would want to play... icon_rolleyes.gif

My brother is a nephrologist in London. He's had no social life or free time since the early '90s tongue.gif

Seriously, medics study damn hard and damn long. You really need the willpower to commit to your books, and to avoid wasting time on video games and extended mamak stall sessions. He does play games, but never for more than a couple of hours a week. Or month.

Hey guys,

I just came back from one utama, my friend brought something to my attention on my trip back home...

He said to me that i really ought to go out, go the gym live in the sunlight, go to jazz clubs instead of playing games all day...and that i should really get a life...

Being the gamer that i was....i mentioned that my existence does not float around gaming solely and he has no right to mention what i should and should not do. I spent 2 years studying my diploma at KDU, i hope one day that i could have a job as a journalist. I feel that its wrong for people outside of the gaming circuit to say to all of us "get a life man"....especially if the person whose talking apparently "smokes the lawn" whistling.gif....

For all you people who tell gamers to "get a life"...you better check yourself out, telling other people what to do with their own lives is just as bad as not doing anything with it.

im happy.. have somthing to wait.. and got plan what to buy and whut to do.

everymonth.. i pay my house bill, pay my credit card bill, give my parent money.. is more than enough. all of them happy..

then im happy.. so why should i stop n go for the sunlight then??

btw... roland san.. long time no see men.

planning to get my self a ps3 also later.

just saw you guys exchanging some thoughts here and i think i should "contribute" a little here cool2.gif

i am really new to the gaming world compared to everyone here. I bought myself the xbox after i got back from the US in Jan. Few days after i came back, i took 1 day to go down to KL to get the xbox and came back (from Penang). It took me around 9 hours on the road and carrying that whole package rushing here and there to catch the lrt and coach in KL.

my friends are all saying i am CRAZY. but hey man, this is my life and what's more important than i love my gaming life tongue.gif

working has been tough, but if you dont have some fun in the mid of all the heavy workloads, i think i will go CRAZY. laugh.gif

Play vgames since the NES(Micro Genius?) days. It is a good hobby to do, but like all things, too much of a good thing is bad also, so I guess its about balancing eventually. But to have no vgames in life? I would be clueless to what to do in life tongue.gif

Going back to the topic... Haha.

I'm a student who juggles his time with gaming. To graduate next year. Love the games on the 360, but i really don't like the instability of the 360 itself. In case of RROD.

I love Gears. smile.gif

As a former 7-A's PMR student, I can tell you to don't waste your time studying so hard for PMR -- get decent grades good enough already. SPM is the first exam that has any real impact on your future smile.gif

friend, i said 4am to 12pm (means noon) tongue.gif in US they are more flexible. but in penang you need to work FOLLOWING the time they set, else even you worked for 10 hours alr, they will still thinking you didnt do your work

anyway, i am not a ee basically... just working on semi-con stuff.. my job scope is pretty new to the industry. icon_rolleyes.gif

what are you working as now? sounds like non-engineering company?
