Then your friend must be a clever and hardworking person.
If your friend salary nearly 10k, then the manager with >10years experience must at least around 20k loh???

Then how old is your friend. Which location his work.

I know my friend brother 26 who work in Africa, oil & gas industry getting 10K USD per month. But KL quite rare a person get close to 10k in 20's /short experience for engineering. As for sales line will be more easy.

Position? Do programming onli, junior programmer (anything less than 3 years consider junior i think), highest education? Degree from local university (UiTM).

Then you must be very expert or they require long hours of work.

Now I think I probably going to a wrong sector (accounts).

Even ACCA graduate in big 4 accounting firm with 2 yrs experience only get around 3-4k. doh.gif
Some more everyday work till 10-12am night. Really work like a dog only get like that.

haha, we're on the same boat.

But I've nvr worked in an audit firm b4 and wouldn't want to as well. But after 4 yrs in accounting, I'm really sick of it. Plus now I'm taking part-time degree in accounting. feel like want to vomit also. But no choice have to finish it bcos I'm almost at the end smile.gif

Now i choose companies that don't need to work long hours tongue.gif

sometimes feel like want to switch line. Haiz.....

I don't know if I'm underpaid. Sometimes I compared my salary with the ones earned in SG or even India/CN, mine was badly underpaid. A bit depressed at times because of that. I guess Malaysians are underpaid? But if I think about it that way, I couldn't work effectively and kept complaining. (guess most forumers will say, go and work in SG. :S)
*
What to said Malaysia still developing. Some more a lot of MNC setup share service center here to serve their regional company; what their purpose? Cause Malaysia paid are lower & lot of educated people, cost effective for the company, then low paid to the staff.

How to do, either keep quite & work, or just work oversea.

As your paid are above average, compare to us earning 2-3k which below average. Should thanks God you have 2-3 time of most people salary.

It all depend your job scope, your qualification, anyway can ask about 20% increase then your current salary. Like around RM2300.

I believe that will be the reasonable salary for assistant post.

i haven take the offer yet, this is the propose offer by the company, u really think i should take it?

For the paid aspect, sure is a good opportunity & the paid are comparable.

But it all depend on the new Co. working environment. Anyway have a try, if not suitable then find another job.

Some more its a very good increment. Normally your current company will not increase your salary from RM1900 to RM2300 in a short period.

Normally company increment rate about 5-10% (unless promotion). Mean you need to work extra 2 years only might get the offered salary.
Remember its only may be, as lot of company will use the excuse that economic not good, then no increment & bonus this year.

My current company counter offered me with the same salary and will add another rm500 after 3 months. So will get RM7.5k after halfyearly performance feedback if im doing good. Previously I asked rm7.5K if they want me to stay, but they said my salary is very high for 2 year experience but they cant let me go.
But they need to be fair to others as well. So thats why need to wait till perforamance feedback.
*
So good that you can negotiate for higher paid. I really hope after 3 months my confirmation, my Co. can increase my paid just by RM300. So make up to RM2.8k, anyway if increase less RM200 then that I really plan to pack and hop to other Co.

Malaysia salary scale is very weird... just hantam the gaji, and see if any employer will hire you. If hired, lucky lor.
*
I agree with you, just put a high salary expectation, then let the employer aware your expect, and then after discount the salary will still consider high.

But anyway get a increase, all are justify by your ability & how you bring benefit to the Co.

Companies nowadays gave up fanciful corporate titles.
One Assistant Vice President in one company might be only equivalent to another company's Manager. It's just name.

The important part I guess to all is still the salary....... wink.gif
*
Agree, now even big company easily give high corporate titles especially to the sales/support team which in the front line.

So this will impress the customer/client and believe their profession. But in reality, most are them are in lower management level.

Retrenched?? My company hiring 3 staff for nearly 1.5month, still not hired. Sigh, need to call help already.

Anyone look for job?? Accounts staff.
