That server PCcrazy is talking about seems to be filled with Italian, Spanish and German drivers.

Crazy laps I saw...

Race start was a disaster though. Not much discipline on there, formation lap had plenty of accidents and spins. The start? I banged into a Toro Rosso with engine already on fire. rclxub.gif
*
That pace you saw was a qualifying pace. I was racing bartl for 2nd place, he was quick but nothing like the pace in the screenshot. The top 5 runners in the server are okay while the rest is clumsy and stupid. Expect that from public servers anyway. But as I have said they are really really fast guys. But we have fast drivers too in MSR.

PC was really flying, very very fast. All DC just now due to server line problem.

Server rental contract end of this month, few of us looking others alternative, still waiting the reply from Singapore for rental over there. Their line much more better than our Screamyx TmNUT !!!!!!
*
I'll take note. We will bring up donation thread and hopefully can get a good server.

Anyway good start from everybody. I was expecting chaos to be honest. cry.gif I was enjoying the race very very much but sad it's shorter than Indi. Very sad.

So PC...wut was the magic formula in Monza? From my spying, i read that u might be high on rpm adjustments. i tried that option with maximum openings....still then engine let go. All i know FSONE engine model life shortens with higher rpm regardless of how much cooling u put. Engines were known to fail with not even near overheating temp.
*
Yup, it's the boost. I'm on a high rpm, basically boost 10 can survive 30 laps on a fast shift. 9 can be just about you make it or not. But boost 8 and 7 is good to go. My plan was to use boost 8 at start until the first stop I will be low on fuel and start to dial in the boost to 4 or 5 just to be safe. But anyway, it's all in the shifting style, I was quite conservative on the shifting to be honest. All I need was the extra rpm on the 6th and 7th gear.

But in the race today, I shift to boost 7 at start n plan to use 5 or 4 later part of the second stint.

Jiading, hmm this track is an alien track for me. First because of the dull layout of the track makes me not wanting to even have a run there.

But, to me, in a league such as this, its a challenge bcos some of the tracks should be new to you. I like that uncertainties anyway.

So, first I'm gonna watch some vids of Shanghai particularly onboard and heli view. Get few laps and learn first few turns first. Well, we will see who is the man of Shanghai. I think this track gonna suit someone who can utilize throttle range effectively.

C u guys at Shanghai.

Yup...server is now with the startlight fix....the Jiading is with the OBUTTO OZONE splashscreen (courtesy of Penzman the wise...)

That track is the Raceking version correct? Because I don't have Raceking version. Bcos last time when I have raceking version it has conflict with ISI version where I can no longer access the ISI version anymore.

Hi, I do agree that this track is nicer looking than the ISI one. While appreciate the effort for me two things really should be fixed if anyhow possible: - Make it compatible with the ISI track so one can both installed - Make shadows dynamic. Especially the shadows not projecting on the car is annoying in the large shadow areas of this course Hope Raceking can fix those, because the track has great potiential and I gues a lot of work has gone into it already. Great track and beautifull Have conflict with ISI Jiading, the names of Event and GrandPrix name is the same. TrackName = shanghai Jiading Circuit EventName = Chinese Grand Prix GrandPrixName = Chinese Grand Prix . VenueName = Chinese Grand Prix ISI track TrackName = Jiading Circuit EventName = Chinese Grand Prix GrandPrixName = Chinese Grand Prix VenueName = Jiading Circuit In track menu if you try load ISI track, you only get load Chinese Grand Prix 3.1 in 3.0 is the same problem. Thancks Mck8
by mavel on 01-Dec-07

Can't find any improvements... AIW is still catastrophic and there's still no banking in turn 13. Haven't checked the lap counting bug. It's better than ISI's Shanghai, but it still doesn't look right.
by Tom2681 on 30-Nov-07

wat is new?
by lolo_540 on 30-Nov-07
If you have raceking version installed, according to my experience and what I read,

1. You can no longer run the ISI version, It has conflict.
2. There is a lap counting bug

Anyway if we were to run Raceking, then everyone must installed a raceking version. But I suggest the ISI version although I prefer the raceking. This is due to some buggy coding about the Raceking version.

Penz if you have the Obuto screens, means that you have both version installed. So Im guessing in order for me to participate in the server I have to installed the raceking version that has the obuto loading screens just to avoid mismatches.

Mara can you try remove the raceking version and leave only ISI intact and rehost. I think with that no issues would arise for those who doesnt have the raceking versions.

Bcos if you run the ISI version, it would never have the obuto screens in the first place. You can try check the Jiading.rar folder for there is a standard loading screens like the one we have in Brianza.

Nowhere did I see Raceking with the track Mara and I had running.
No glitches except for the 2 bugs  for which there is a fix above.
Same JIADING track that is mentioned on page 1 by the way.
It felt like and looked like an ISI track but had maybe been modified maybe by  O B U T U  Ozone.
*
Both track has similar layout, but if you try removing the Obuto(Raceking version). You would get a clean ISI version. It looks similar but honestly if you look carefully it is not.

Yup I know penz u installed the Jiading from rfactorcentral. But bcos there are conflicts between Obuto and ISI, you must installed one only to avoid mismatches.

I don't think there is an issue with ISI version. The one that penz tested was Raceking version.

The ISI version of Jiading  is terrible, looks like an amateur job when compared to the one I had loaded previously (Obotu-Ozone or Raceking?). No effort whatsoever was put on terrain rising or dipping by ISI, except for the dip before the grid. The rest is much too flat, some corners also seem to be very far from real life, while some strecthes also seem far from original lenght. Forget about looking far ahead also. Some curbs also missing.sad.gif  Two single and separate laps was all it took to see the terrible difference.  The cars are nowhere as responsive and nervous as on the other version. yawn.gif
Is there a chance we can test the other version with it's bug fixes?
I;m willing to look into it further( see what 's said about fixes)and  test some more.
*
I seconded Penzman motion. Although I applaud ISI but honestly they are terrible track maker. They should have followed Simbin track quality and accuracy.

Nevermind, while maranello is looking for fixes I would have it tested as well.

Next season you guys pick the tracks.

you happy. i'm happy.
*
First of all, I forgot to mention that I'm still happy with any choices of tracks.

It's just that rfactor modding scenes evolved, just like FSoNE 2006 in which we are currently running should be superseded next season by either CTDP latest mod or MMG or whatever mod that the admins or community seems best at given time.

We never questioned your track picking ability, it's just that something in the community had just been introduced and we think (maybe it's just penz and me) is a great replacement. But we still respect the final decisions and abide by it. You guys are the FIA and we are the team owners, sometimes what we say might hurt the FIA but the FIA has all the rights to the final venue.

And, sometimes what the FIA said might hurt the team owners as well. But given the free participation (although sometimes some of us chip in a SMALL bit of donation) we have always reserved the comments so that all parties are satisfied.

Personally, I respect you as a person and what you did to the community is brilliant. The stats, the organization, the chartered rules, etc. So if by what we did here had undone your work we by all means are prepared to give in and tolerate your decision gracefully.

Let there be a good argument and I believe we are professionals and we can always achieve good ending via discussion. I do hope I can get your response Evohahn. Again we will abide by the final decision.

Great project Kimi, as always u are really talented in these stuffs.

Anyway, the new server is one hell of a great server. We did a dsl rate and it was like a racing with AI. It doesn't lag and you can spy more effectively. Now donation time starts.

Soze, thanks to the connection we manage to do real bumper to bumper action.

Minta fragnetic server tukar setting pakai ISI BMW 2007 punye mod.

Macam biasa, step by step forward pada dia orang.

Quotation macam biasa, 12/16/20/24 slot & control/no control server.

Tidor dulu......

Those who miss the test race just now....11 participate  notworthy.gif

1st race using connection ISDN (64kbps), result = no lag.

2nd race using DSL connection (256kbps  shocking.gif ), result = no lag.

I'm still  not satisfied, we need at least 16 racers before making the conclusion on the new server. Planning to redo with ISI BMW F1 2007, plz attend.
