errr... some crappy company that i left last year... i posted about it in the thread, but got a lot of flame from certain forumer. better not simply reveal anything here. anyway for your sake, i do not recommend u to my ex company. (if it's good sure i'd stay right?) u better try other company like accenture.

also there's still a lot sap projects le. like my company, mostly middle east projects and china projects. then axon also got norway project uk project amsterdam project. then ecenta got australia project got sweden project got uk project. and accenture got a lot singapore and msia project. deloitte got jakarta and thailand project. if u know japanese lang, japan got even more projects. ibm got singapore and msia project. if can try join SAP itself, they got a lot ECC, BO & BI upgrades projects now. shell also got projects going on. can try obtech also, but mostly msia projects for B1(this was last year). BAT also got projects now. Chrysler also got (last year got headhunter from UAE call..vacancy in germany) and a lot a lot more... so don't give up la. there's still a lot projects that i havent heard of yet, but is going on now.

CrystalFreakz - depends on module and individual interest. i felt ABAP was difficult but HR and SD was easy.

hock007 - yes. 1 question makes alot of difference. especially if there is only 2 - 3 questions for that topic.

M'sia is still lacking of experienced SAP Basis Consultant especially on JAVA stack
For those whom are aiming for SAP Basis, learn about JAVA and its Web Implementation
Why? Even the consultants from SAP M'sia have limited know-how on this JAVA topic

for me, it's not the amount of projects available in the market but rather the amount of people that have solid and mature SAP skill in m'sia
it's just too sad that SAP embark in the learning strategy whereby it's *not* cheap for people to take up SAP
can't even find any published SAP Learning Materials out there
a fresh grad and learn up programming, DB or Networking by reading; but not with SAP

moral of the story
- SAP projects will be growing. that's for sure
- People that are able to support SAP system? getting lesser and this will be a good op. for people to venture in should u can get the hiring company to send u for the expensive SAP training

Is SAP Consultant supposed to know JAVA stack in depth?
Are they suppose to be coders/programmers or are they suppose to be business analyst?

Just recently I gone through the exam.
I don't think they'll deduct your score if you answered incorrectly. Try pressing Ctrl + A when viewing your score, you'll notice a lot of hidden info. I realize this is how to calculate your score (pretty straight forward):

Total question answered correctly / Total questions * 100% = Your score.

For example:
For my Abap exam, there're 80 questions. Certain questions got 2 sub questions (true/false), some got multiple choices. Each of them consider as one question itself.

So, total I get 432 questions. Say I answer 343 questions correctly, my score will be 343/432 * 100 = 79% = Pass.

Beside the overall performance, they also grade your performance for each topic, calculation is still the same.

Both ABAP and JAVA stack should the mastered by a SAP Basis Consultant
For a SAP Functional Consultant, it's a total different field all together

Why programming and BA being mentioned here???

The JAVA that i'm talking about is about the technology of Java (e.g. JVM, Web Services and etc)
not the java programming code.

they revised the marks computation?
well gs20. lucky you and congrats.
it wasnt like this during my time.
all exams was broken down into several topics.

example:
ABAP OBJECTS - 3 questions
ABAP WORKBENCH BASICS- 5 questions
ABAP DICTIONARY - 2 questions

the weightage for Abap dictionary is higher compare to the rest.

gs20 - you did TAW10, TAW12?

Yes, they still broken down the exam by topics. For example:
Dictionary (12), Object (15), Basic (2), etc.

And you can view your grade for each section too.

Yes, that's what I did. The certification is SAP Netweaver 04' Focusing on ABAP (just received that cert today via Skynet)

But still, jobless. Certification is nothing. Experience is what counts. Might consider going back to .net/php line sad.gif
