Nope,they are not having overheating problems.Its the processor of AMD is having DTS problems.This Temperature Detection problems affect G1 and G2 Stepping.And if i not wrong even the Phenom Processor having DTS Problems. doh.gif

is there any difference btwn black and normal phenom?

in term of [erformance
when i was kid
i learnt black color can absorb heat better than white
is it can be applied on this phenom? smile.gif

Actually its the name of Black.Black Edition/BE Has Unlocked Multiplier,While Normal one Doesnt have Unlocked Multiplier.Unlocked Multiplier is for Overclocking purpose.

I suppose install windows everything yesterday , because of update to SP3. Most software , driver can't install doh.gif So, reformat again .

What about power utilization, is the AMD cpu consume more electricity than Intel cpu and will AMD chip run more hotter ?

I forgot what its call,i think its Dynamic Power.Forgot edy.It will automatically turn off unused cores to save power.

not sure if compare to X4 phenom, but mr_habuk have phenom X3 (oc at 3.0ghz) , and the cpu score at 3dmark06 beats 6000+

it's weird that those B3 series has similar pricing, if i were to get 1 now, i might get 9750 as opposed to 9650 and 9550 as the difference is not much.

the power saving feature on phenom suppose to turn non-working cores down and even the entire HT lane connecting form the cpu to the chipset, (correct me if im wrong), but somehow this feature wont work. look at the power consumption of phenoms during idle, it is even higher than Athlon X2. - X2 cant turn off one of its core, while phenom suppose to turn down 3 of its cores.
