the other day i think i saw u in game right ? in Aus server TDM2? will add few more server that i think quite low ping for malaysian, at least 100-130ms, will look into my fav server list, and add it here. my copy arrived!
now installing! muahahahhaha!!!  btw, the seal is torn! At 1st i tot it's not virgin anymore  but further inspection concluded that it torn together with the plastic cover. luckily.. I like cod killcam.. can spot hacker easily especially wallhacker.. one of the cod2 server i played is infested with hackers.. ping 300 but headshot everyone, even aiming at a spot that i will run into.. hello i need some help here... im playing SP mode now and im doing the "Hunted" mission. im at the part where i need to use the Stinger to blow up a helicopter. i equipped it and i went outside the barn to target the heli but when i right click and tried to fire it says Lock on required. how do i lock on to the target? i tried for more than 30 mins already but i still cant fire the heli..please help~~

stop by to give some review 1st
1st of all, this game is the only game that i bought without feeling cheated which i used to have when i bought bf2. Excellent game! bout the sniper, i don have any problems with it.. using m21..can kill easily.. just that bullets not enough Shotgun is nice! way nice until i have 2airstrike n 1 heli no time to use.. can reach kill steak of 5 easily if u went indoor..hehe Don like mp5.. dont know why..overrated.. now wanna go back n play again  |

k i went to game-monitor and look for the server name, the following are the details:
GamingSA.com - TDM 2 IP: 203.13.37.40:28950 BurningServer[AJFPS.net] IP:61.124.81.54:28960 Yeah sometime i got 100ms, sometime i get 150ms, so within those range i suppose, but still playable for me. NOTE: BurningServer Teamdamage is on so don simply shoot the wall or throw granade hehehe. |

btw, 100-150ms is unplayable for me. i would rather kill some emo soldiers instead of lagging along. oh yeah, i still havent touch the SP to date.  and been using M4 until i unlock something better. Are there any Malaysian servers? Playing on Singapore server is abit....dramatic, not to mention having 100 over ms is making sniper (Me) loses shots over and over, I can't even go one shot one kill! :sob:

I found that M14 is heavy damage with medium to long range than other assault gun , but not very well at all time . M4 seem nice too. Nomarlly i will fit with stopping power.
Shotgun with sonic boom + 3 frag grenades + " died will drop grenade" , can kill alot ppl. Add me too.Nickname: Lestony |

I find the recoil of the M14 still within acceptable means, when paired with a red dot sight. Btw pcomet, shotgun blasts are not affected by Sonic Boom right? They hurt a whole lot on its own already.

cant even kill a stand still enemy for 5 sec Just unlocked R700(or R600 forgot )It really depends on luck, sometimes one shot kill to the chest, sometimes not. |

u have to hold breath for about >2 secs that's wat ppl reported and made them jump because they cant snipe properly.
Till there's bigger maps for snipers, I think any assault rifle could overrun them in the meantime. hehehe...but i like the bushy look for the sniper. last time one enemy prone behind our base, no ppl noticed even tho it is blinking red in the radar. i just go straight and gave him a good spray of leads.yeah...ACOG kinda crappy. hmm...sway like hell. Maybe good with M16 or so. Havent really tried. lol... |

You guys really should try Team Hardcore
 . No huds, no radar, friendly fire is on and increase damage. It totally change how you play the game and for once, using the sniper + overkill perk is the best all around and btw is there a prestige mode on PC version? u guys so good can get ping 100 below.. my place tmnut is retarded! even the 2 sg server is 130ms.. in a 32 players game,i only can score assist..all my kills stolen by teammate..i used ak74u...with double tap, spray the target n hit him bout 2-3times then someone just shot it once.. walla.. +2 >.<!!

double tap with ak74u??  won't the recoil make ur bullets fly everywhere? granted it's painful if it all hits @gnome hehe yeah i'm waiting till i get off from work then i'll go try out that hardcore action i had a killstreak of 10 once, but that was from airstrike and yeah it's easier to survive on a 16 player server....on certain maps with 32 players...it's pure chaos! shipment is just insane, and i mostly die from nade spamming in wetworks |

Well I'm hoping that once tmnuts finish their upgrade exercise for labuan it'll help with the ping. The weird thing is in the server browser I get 70, but in game it's 100 plus. Oh well. See you guys on there this weekend after I get back from Singapore on Saturday morning.

Anyone suffered from this?
I knife a guy at the face/body,he was just standing there,all of a sudden,he move after I sliced him directly at him,should be a kill but it didn't, he then manages to circle strafe me and knife me back instead, I was so pissed at the connection! M14 is used for DMR (Designated Marksman) role. If you guys remember Black Hawk Down, one of the sniper guys that rappel down to secure Durant's crash site uses one of them.
Personally I can't wait to have a go at the gun myself. |

I wan to vent out my frustration on the server ppl n this game
1st the server is unbalance cos everyone is following the pro.. whenever the pro join a team, those flies will follow.. at last it become a 6-8.. all pro there, at my team only have 2 ppl know how to shoot.. the others just free frag for them.. Counter strike have better balance system,in cod4 even after it is balance.. u can still straight go to the other side.. balancing = rubbish/non existence 3rd,ah.. the g36c.. i hit my target 4 times or 5 times n they still running n gun me.. i'm using stopping power, they din use juggernaunt.. what is wrong? Ping? cos my ping is usually 130-150 to sg server but it registered as a hit..cos have the cross 4-5 times to their chest |

Don't use the g36c. Someone hacked open the files and it's weaker than the M4 in EVERY aspect. I'm only using it for fun. If you want a fully auto AR use the M4.
About the team stacking, well not much you can about it. Like I said, be nice if we could get our own server. |

TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT! How come they don't add any other types of upgrades? Maybe grip or adjustable scope or something, ACOG scope makes sniping a joke! |

After reach lvl 55 seem nothing new already @_@, hope they will add more weapon at future. SOme of the perk not usefull for Team Deathmatch. Gonna try hardcore and other gamemode, but hardly find good server.

actually i don think is luck cos i hiding there with a silencer n i din even shot or kill anyone. I was in prone stance(not sticking to the wall)..then suddenly died.. at the killcam the hacker just point at my head n shoot it..i don think that is a guessing at all..
Actually i understand how the hacker shoot, cos i admit i used hack for awhile in css just to experience it so that i will roughly know who is hacking or not..u will be amazed at how many hackers are there online playing n making the game saks. Just hope that pb does it work.. |

Hoowah glad to hear that  just now already have one person complained bout it.. so i guess not only i feel that team stacking/following saks they are really kia su-ism.. if a match that S.A.S win then next round the side with pro will suddenly have 16 players while the other only 5-8players at the beginning, then everyone get owned at the noob team. I observed it n it's very true. What makes me frustrated!! n angry!! is when too much ppl join the pro team, i'm the one who was kicked back to the 'noob' team at the VERY LAST(1-2min left) of the game then ended defeated! Worst is when I use auto-assign at the beginning.. mayb i'm just the unlucky one.. |

I hate stacking up, but that makes it easier to get sniped. (Heh) Also, anyone noticed how that it's always the pro who gets to be in one team while others are noobs like me? I admit I ain't that good but seriously, it's like seeing either [SA] or [JEDI] team owning the noobs like poo in almost every matches. Furthermore,what's with people choosing Marines or SAS all the time?? |

actually most of the time i prefer terror.. i also donno why.. mayb cos i like rpg on their back. i unlocked m14 yesterday but it's not so good for me.. too much kick .50cal let me get more kill than the r700.. dont know why..i scored a 20-0 in the 'ship' map yesterday..but i think that is just luck i finished the single player n it only took me 5hrs.. very dissappointed cos so short. Now i feel like doom3 is so much longer than this The only mission that i enjoyed is the sniper one.. very dramatic especially with the music.. |

I found each map got their own stratergy and suitable weapon to use , when u know which weapon then u can kill alot of them. 16p server is more easy to stay alive longer and get more kill compare to 32p server , coz 32p server like war , just pew pew pew. No where u can hide.

try use special grenade , throw stun , so they can really hit u . Then use SMG , so u can run fast and close to them.

my knife steak is only 3 max but is done in 7sec like tat cos i came out of a smoke n saw 3 of the enemies camping there, knife one of them then the other came to knife me, but luckily my reaction that time is faster so knife the other 2..
@Dobb sorry to said that, actually most of the ppl around the world don like grenade launcher including me..dont know why.actually i don like ppl abuse explosive weapons..my total GL kill is only 2-3 so far so not yet called tuber To be honest, i don like the JEDI clan.. especially the shotgunner..u will know who he is if u played with him. WHEN he killed everyone n the K/D ratio is around 3:1 .. he will keep quiet n feel very proud of himself. BUT when he get pwned and the KD ratio is around 1:1, u can see he start to noisy.. The P-90 is very good IMHO, unfortunately,I couldn't get kills even though I sprayed the guy with 15 bullets and more right in the body, he didn't have juggernaut on so I had to blame it on TMNut. *Sigh*

I always get one shot,one kill using any sniper rifles.
My recommendations are bolt-actions, semi autos are abit too....weak in my opinion,unless you're a good shot with the head. Act like a real sniper! Displace after the first-second engagement! Move about! |

i havent unlocked the M14 yet. how biut G3? single shot good for sniping?
just unlocked the P90, but the spread is like crap too, and it feels heavier. LOL...endless dissapointments. i think i will stick with silenced MP5 and Ak47u for CQBs. snipers are really having hard time in most of the maps. not saying that cant get any kills, but those scored top surely arent snipers. hahaha... damn IW. |

i think some ppl are using the cvar hack to make model look bright(like in the youtube) yesterday
i was a sniper, hide inside a grass at the end of the map Pipeline, then here come a machinegunner.. pinpoint my location n killed me from the other side of the map..in the killcam i strain my eyes to look at how he aim at me. I cant find myself inside the glass.. |

this game doesn't require good rig to run it
just a medium spec can do mine 8600gt can run this at high with frame rate @ 40fps but i always tune it down to medium so that i hit 60fps |

Anyone of you facing problems with CoD4 Crashing to desktop?I read in previous post but there isn't a working solution.Be it Multiplayer or Single Player.For single player mode its weird coz when i start a new game it has no problem but after completing the initial Training stage,while it loads the 2nd stage movie it juz flies out to Desktop and nothing else appear.
..No Error message whatsoever =.=...I feel like jumping off the cliff wit this Original CoD4 =.= |

lol...remembered i once said i dun really like silencers? guess what? now i use them more often.
cos if without silencers, when u killed an enemy, the whole bunch of them will come hunt for you. and that's crap. no choice...gonna sacrifice accuracy for stealth. btw, what guns u ppl most used? and does silencer reduce the bullet spread also? i find it easier to spray compared to w/o silencer. for the 1st time i played the .50cal sniper mission, i did a headshot.. perfect headshot to the terrorist leader then his arm torn.. i was like wtf.. just now playing at jpn server, massive lag and 1-2 wallhackers..not only i said that, the others also mention bout hacker at the end of the game.. this game is getting more n more hackers especially the server outside sg |

Hey guys I been thinking, we should try and get more teamwork going among us. Like we can cover each other when going around maps - overwatch - and when we're bunkering down in a building we can have each person cover an exit. Customize weapon loadouts so one person can have a long gun and one person can have a CQB weapon.
Anyone have access to have TS/Vent server? |

just some of my opinions bout cod4 multiplayer teamwork,
i'm quite disappointed at the multiplayer because it has no teamwork at all.. just feel like playing quake3 or unreal tournament with m16 or ak47..everyone in the game just trying to get the most frags..they wont care bout covering u,or laying suppressive fire to help u get out of danger .. and the gameplay is just too fast..everywhere is just like a part of CQB.. besides, u are just randomly spawn around ur teammate(stranger)..meeting up with ur friends ingame is painful.. and if u are unlucky, u will spawn in the middle of crossfire or beside grenade.. i hope they have something like bf2 squad.. not spawning around stranger which u cant coordinate the attack..have larger map so that slower gameplay is possible.. add some spread to the bullet when using sight to make it more challenging n rewarding to shoot n kill ur enemies.. xfire crash only when ppl attempt to change graphical settings in game with xfire on. hehe...well, at least for most of the cases.
my deadly crash/hang is due to atitool. after i turn it off, wala...not a single hang. touch wood-en gun, AK47. |

Tried this game yesterday in cafe, have to say this game really rocks. Ends up sitting there for the whole evening venturing the single player campaign, from the rookie camp up to the assassination level.
By the way, is there any cheat code that I can use to jump over the levels ?? I dont want to go through the same level again when I'm in cafe playing this game again :\ |

Wow, cant believe the single player storyline campaign is so short... spent around 5 hours to finish it. Exciting storyline and the way they arranged the levels is so impressive, but, the story is really damn short = =!! Man, I wouldnt mind to have 5 to 7 acts more as never feel dull playing it.
And what happened to the UMCS private Sgt. Paul Jackson ?? After the nuclear was released in the Capital City, I thought he survived and I'll be coming back to him after taking down the Al-Asad or Al-Afad guy. Guess I was hoping some rambo action with Jackson by breaking through a hostile city *Salutation to Cpt. Price & Gaz* I'll never forget both of you and all the missions that we had been through together, lads. Gonna miss you both. - Soap signing out. |

i am also willing. but depends on how much la...and server consistency. sorry la...a bit picky, just dun wanna get something like streamyx...pay and not 100% enjoy. haha...
btw, i tried a bit of sniper before i came to work. not bad eh.. manage to perform fast scope kills now. but still, the maps arent that sniper friendly other than Bog. btw, i dunno why i find my movments a bit sluggish in this game...maybe i was too adapted in CSS. my KDR still negative. LOL...my shooting and aiming sucks. hehe...or maybe i tend to flank ppl, but at the end, meet face to face with bunch of them. meh... |

Does anybody know how can I restore my stats for CoD4? I usually play LAN on cybercafes and when I replace the backup profile and start the game, they will have an error message like "There is some error blabla, your stats have been reseted". It's really frustrating to play from lvl1 over again everytime.

Hi guys,
I was wondering whether I can setup up a small private online game with just my frens. I created an Internet game then it jumped to a console box. I re-opened COD4 MP and join to the ip address given in the console box but it always say "Server connection time out"? Any ideas why? Am I doing anything wrong? Thanks a lot... |

Just got the game and tried out the multiplayer, superbly fun
but i had to reinstall it again cuz i noticed i installed it on a wrong drive but now whenever i add one the ips that i got in the first page of this thread, the server doesn't appear though it stated that i have added the server. Wierd |

Seems like we fought on the same team in our match together. And as for your problem, you can solve it by either go to Internet and refresh the list there to "make" it remember you faved or added the server. That happened to me too, too bad IW didn't fix that bit. |

Patch 1.3 erases your favorites so re-add them. If after you've added them and they disappear, I've found that you can just Add Favorite, and leave the field empty and hit Enter, and they'll reappear.
The fourth server has been removed from OP as it seems to be dead. |

I agreed with Bryan, I couldn't even get a good webcam session with him. Let alone a nice game of BF2142.
Edited: I played in one of their server, You get MOSTLY 70 over and below 100. But sometimes I get lag as huge as 300. I'm annoyed by their total disregard for teamwork and tactics. They never flank, only charge ahead. And they use Shotgun almost everytime. Don't be surprised to get killed by the same guy even with 35 people in the game. nah..my connections are fine, like how smooth things are in CS. however, i managed to raise the fps by lowering some details. so far so good. i could aim a lil better now. hehehe...

Anyways, the only thing i hate about the multiplayer is that you sometimes spawn in the midst of a fire fight or just so happens the opposing team member was there then you get killed without even manage to move an inch. Quite annoying at times though i'm still be able to tolerate it since the game is fun. |

1440x900 or somethng. plus some settings like shadow to off, smooth smoke off, specular map off, texture normal. had to lower it to improve FPS. lol...my GC sucks now.

Just had a pretty interesting game.
Upgrade mah sniper rifle, but 90 percent of my kills was from the good ole USP. Happens alot when i'm playing the middle eastern maps as there's no place to camp and camo as a sniper. So i just shoot people with the USP, works great at medium range too, even better than an SMG since you can move pretty fast while aiming down it's sights. With doubletap, it becomes seriously god like for most 1 on 1 firefights. I have no questions on how Solid Snake uses this gun to defeat the faster revolver orcelot with his SAAs anymore |

i find DE very nice...i rushed with DE when i am a sniper. LOL...very easy kills with close range 3-4 shots. the firing rate is very high too. manage to hold off those trying to sneak behind.

Anyone face the problem of when right clicking to aim through the sight or scope, its like I click twice. it will move the scope to center and move away again lol. I have to right click a few times to make it work. Same thing happens when I try to move the scope away.

hey guys, i've just started to play this game, dont know why, but i got bored of it only after 3 hours of online play. The game gave me headaches after just 1 hour (comparing to CS 3-4 hours). And i thought this could've trump my all time fav FPS, BF2142, sigh..it seems like i need to wait for BF3 now.

hey guys, just wondering, what weapon do u love or use the most? so far, i'm enjoying the LMG (forgot its name, the last LMG unlock) i absolutely dislike its original sight, but using the red dot sight would mean losing accuracy from the grip, also when i have the chance i would pick up some other guns as well, P90 is really nice too.
anyway what is your opinion on the most balanced gun? i haven't reach the highest level yet though. |

there's no most balanced gun i think. because everyone would use it then it will be no fun. haha...it is nice to see ppl use variety of guns in the game. like most of them liked P90, but i find i cant shoot crap with it compared to my AK74U.
my all time fav is M16 and M4...sometimes use MP5, AK74U for tight maps, and still finding the sniper rifle that i liked. hmm...maybe R700. The barrett .50 is not as good as i tot. but it does make some cool sfx. lol... i'm on my way to lvl55. damn i'm slow. it would serve as scaring factor to noobs, but not for long tho, till they find out i sucked. hehe... btw, Xonius, how's ur z5500 with this game? can u actually hear the enemy sneaking behind you? with the 5.1 surround feature. is it easy to pinpoint enemy location? I'm getting a 5.1 system just for this game soon. still deciding. |

The surround sound is lost in such conditions. But of course having 5 speakers is better than 2, more oomph i like the gun sfx, most of them sound wicked and very...real lol. |

But there's no where to run to because there's like 3 grenades indicators in all directions and oh no you're dead. The 3X frag grenades perk is god in wet works.

i used to use a regular philips headset for gaming, nice big comfortable earcups. then i needed a mic, so got logitech gaming precision headset...damn uncomfortable.... now using steelsound 4H...much much better... |

5 days of stiff neck took me out of commission, lol. Just finished playing one round and found out that almost a week's lack of practice made me a noob.
About nades, i find them pretty easy to spot in maps set in the Middle East, but the stairs in map where al-Fulani got executed (wazzat called?) has pretty nasty stairs. I just duno why Marines like to crowd there only to get downed by a nade or a tube. Btw, Everdying, how's the bass of your headphones? Got my speakers edi (mom doesnt want me to go deaf) but i still long for a pair of good gaming headphones. Nothing beats counter-sneaking on your stalker. Currently undecided between IceMat Siberia and SteelSeries 4H/5H. |

never tried icemat cos its too expensive
steelsound 4H is like almost half price of 5H with same drivers, but of cos lower build quality. but its still good enough, bass response is very good. for music wise, its just average...but then its labelled as a gaming headset. |

Currently playing it with the new Logitech ClearChat Pro headset. Quite comfortable using it for 2 hours straight unlike my previous Logitech headsets.
Also very decent bass response, I really liked the sound of things getting blasted. |

Am I the only one who has serious trouble telling the ghillie suits from each team apart? They seriously all look like greenish brown blobs to me. I can't count the number of times I've been killed during that first moment of "is he or isn't he" uncertainty when one of them pops up. Now I always shoot first whenever I see somebody wearing one, but that wastes ammo and gives away my position. How do you guys do it?

You have to keep a good idea of where your teammates are in relation to you. If you're on point, and you have your flanks covered, then whoever pops up in front of you is an enemy. If an enemy pops up in the middle of your team's lines, well he got the drop on you and you deserve to die. now in kl sharing bandwidth with 3 ppl 2 of them youtube + dotard + torrent 1 of them is torrent downloader nothing left for me.. fark them.. when they go sleep .. 3 of them must run the torrent and i have no chance to play.. when they wake up.. they will just youtube or dotard feel like selling it damn |

the modem cant handle too many connection.. especially the torrent software, they will make the router too busy to handle other computer connections i notice when they start opening the torrent prog..my ping to yahoo will reach 1k ms.. and some packet loss |

Overall,it was nevertheless a fun game,too bad Fragnetics only have TDM, it gets boring after while seeing 30 people trying to kill each other in the most inhumane ways, I still prefer Objectives-based, I've yet to play HQ in SG server, just too bad nobody likes Hardcore. |
