I've heard that messing around with FOV messes with hit registration, I'm not 100% sure on this though.

Hi guys, any more interest in getting our own server? So far it's:

1. pcomet
2. bryan
3. Aoshi
4. Reuben
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

Fragnetics charge SGD64 per month. If you pay by the year you get a 20% discount. Therefore, total rental charges for a year, in MYR, is 1413.10. (Feel free to correct me if I've made an error.)

Therefore with just us current four it'd be too expensive. So please do consider it.

Haha dude, I'm a practical guy. If I only provide figures in one currency, and suddenly I ask for a different quantum to reflect the currency people actually pay with, people are going to complain.

Also, I'm a realistic guy. You think there's going to be 16 people who will pay? I highly doubt it.

I'm not a salesman, I don't have a penchant for BS.

And how did the battlefield people suggest getting their own server? Perhaps you can bring that experience here so we can achieve a similar success.

to help the community grow...plus some imo kiasu reasons tongue.gif

but also the fragnetics cod4 servers arent really all full most of the time rite?
the ppl filling it up are also some of the guys here tongue.gif

How long from game release to battlefield getting their own server?

Servers are pretty full at night, the normal ones anyway. Most people aren't a fan of the hardcore ones.

since i've reached the max level, and 80% of the challenges are fully completed, i'm getting bored.

sniping with the M14 still rulz though lol.

After I hit max level the game's addiction tapered off for me. I had redirect my focus to getting a good score, so it'll be fun again.

What is everyone's best KDR in a single match? Mine's 25-0.

to me k/d ratio is useless if everyone on the other side is a noob tongue.gif

once u get bored of multiplayer...start playing competitions...join teams etc.
ur probably bored cos most of the time u go solo etc with no proper teamwork via TS etc.
*
But since KDR is objective and the noob thing is subjective, we can only go by our KDR.

no doubt there are some good players out there who deserve good KDR.
but those who just camp like a girl all day...pffttt tongue.gif

the other day i saw one guy thru a killcam...he had like a 0:10 KDR...but god...he just stayed in one spot...didnt even more for like a few mins just watching a door...damn pathetic.
*
That just gets boring. There was one guy in District, he had a shotty, and had the claymore perk. He just kept camping in this one room hiding behind his claymores the whole time.

Camping is a bad idea in the game anyway. You can't get a decent KDR since there's killcam. You stick to one spot too long and you're definitely getting naded all to hell.

thats why i prefer playing hardcore sometimes...cos no killcam...
the fragnetics 32p server is too much of a one man free for all thingie...after a few rounds gets boring...
unless of cos its 24/7 shipment tongue.gif
*
My preference is to play on the 16 player server. The 32 one is too messy. The only thing about Hardcore is that I miss the map. Even in competition CS you had the map so you had a good idea of where your lines were. In COD4 without the map I tend to TK. sad.gif

Doesn't make much sense to call something lame and gay just because you don't like it. It's not an exploit, it's a weapon given to everybody, and no one has to do anything except unlock it. And it's not overpowered, it's path drifts, it's blast radius is not imba. What's wrong with it?

The same goes for the grenade launcher. At least nowadays people have the good sense not to bunch up.

QUOTE(foogray @ Jan 14 2008, 10:20 AM)
The problem is that no one wants to be the first one in an empty server. I joined around 10 pm yesterday when the server was empty, just hopping around in ambush, scouting the map and trying to get to hard to reach places, and in less than 5 minutes someone else joined. Soon we had about 8 people in, enough to play a few quick games of S&D.

I suggest that we be more willing to hop in even when the server is empty. Maybe add a mention of the server to the first post, bryan?
*
Good idea, will do.

Also I recently installed Xfire - I'm going to add everyone's name on the first post to my contact list tonight. So perhaps we can coordinate through there to get everyone on this Malaysian server?

FYI guys

Yes it's useful, we can all join a chat together, and you can view servers through it. Past few days I been using xfire to join the game.
