let me start by saying that this is one cool thread!!!!    full of info and good discussion + advice 

currently i am staying in japan and planing to return home somewhere in july
i want to bring back my car which is a honda s2000.....(the best car i've ever drive   )
the car is 10years old this year and i got it for about RM35k 3years ago.

i really need to estimate on how much i need to pay the gov. in order to bring my car into the country.
any idea anyone.... 

as i read throughout this thread, it seem like it would difficult to deal with import process alone...
so i am looking for a forwarder to help me through the process of importing the car and putting it in the road.
any suggestion or recommendation anyone.....

hope that helps you with your calculation.....and could you let me know the tax estimation, so i can have an idea of how much i need to pay. i hope that the figure would look something like RM1*,*** (impossible?)
cause i am thinking of changing my clutch before i return home..... 

ohh yes, would like to know if the 2nd hand price (actual purchase price) is required for the tax calculation.
i actually lost the receipt and ask the shop where i bought my car to issue another one just in case....
