@kabu, a few of us here are quite often to drop in here and have discussion in o/c. I guess nothing much we can play already on our rig but fylon one still have potential to go higher.
@fylon,i wait for your good news. Where are you coming to Semenanjung?Come to to get new rig or casing? :lol

@edmin,HT on our proc really helps a lot on multitasking. I see my company's pc is sucks like hell even HT is enable. I suspect the HDD is 5.4k rpm one, saving files slow like hell. HDD is also one of the main part of the performance.

I think Raptor alone is enough to kill the performacne already. Imagine running 2 raptors in RAID-0,damn...i smell the RAID-0 raptor will be too excellent in our platform.

HEhe,right now i use the SATA HDD i can feel the difference already. If running on RAPTOR sure at least 25% better than current one. 10k rpm raptor,i don't see any S478 users here are using it.

@sang,come on change your HDD to SATA.No regret to take those SATA HDD nowadays. Yet the HDDs are becoming cheaper and cheaper.
@fylon,yup i know those Raptors are really expensive. But in term of performance you will smile always when you are using it. I heard from my friend he got those raptor hdds last time from rekon one,he told me that those hdd are a bit slower than the usual raptor as it was recon units.I'm doubt about his claim here.

@kabu,actually i feel the difference in Sata HDD. I feel the transfer rate is faster than the old IDE HDD. Another thing is our older SATA controller was build to support 1.5Gb/s max in transferring files.I know that's impossible to do that. Even now the new SATA 2 controller is not able to transfer files >120MB/s on single HDD,don't hope too much from the SATA 2 controller.

@edmin,the softmodded quadro will not be faster than the hardmodded quadro in your conclusion right?Last time i used to softmodded the FX5200 into quadro also, during game time i can said there is not much different from the origin FX5200.
@fylon,you also don't recommend Maxtor HDD.Haha, all the while i'm also not trusting those Maxtor HDD.If really want,go for Seagate at least.

@kahloon,your Raptor at RAID 0 must be fantastic. You tested your raptor for benchies? You plan to change PSU because of your GC right?

@herojack41 ,Processor :63++ load ...up to 63 is still ok but 65 degree celcuis and above have to becareful a bit.Motherboard loading is kinda high! You mobo or heatsink dirty already?Or your casing fan duct clogged ?

WAh shoot up to 70 degree celcuis, that's abnormal already.Better check on the heatsink and reapply the thermal paste.

@kabu,your SATA contorller on board dead? That's rare case. Luckily your SATA HDD not dead.Anyway,if you still insist to use the SATA HDd,you might need to get the PCI SATA card already. @fylon,planning to get an Phenom? Added on December 19, 2007, 7:36 pmOpps...my Acbel 450w on my 2.6C was kaboom 2 days ago due to electricity no stable in my hometown. Damn TNB. @sang,the current was really unstable that time according to my brother. It was at the border of going to trip and normal.I guess the current was too low or too high for a few times like that.It was just happened within 2 ~ 3 seconds.Damn waste my psu and need to waste $$ again on new psu. Fault is causing by TNB.

Added on December 19, 2007, 10:29 pmMy brother hs bought the Silverstone PSU 560w. Hehe.I can't wait to see it,i bet this is sure betetr than my current Acbel I-Power PSU.
Added on December 19, 2007, 10:30 pmYou are correct, those PSU should be able to stand to up and down current. But there will be a tolerance on it.
