I bet RM10, the driver is a women.

And she has to learn.

Though not trying to stereotype woman, but likely that they are more susceptible to "overselling" and "exaggeration" by the staff / foreman to replace the whole gearbox in order to fix the problem.

This is common in official service centers, as they understandably do not have the:

- Expertise consistency;
- Logistical space to store the vehicles;
- Manhours to spend diagnosing the problem;
- Manhours to invest in fixing a component of the whole drivetrain / larger component;
- Lesser incentive to fix a small part rather than selling a whole fix to replace the entire thing.

So they would not be offering or would not do a proper diagnosis to repair one small part, instead, they will just recommend to change the whole thing even if given time, they can actually replace or fix the problematic part.

And unlike in the past, today's gearbox or drivetrain are likely to be partly or entirely electronically controlled.

ECU / TCU mapping and relearn, dump oil and replace oil, replace sensors could have been done perhaps (or they have been done, we don't know).

Manufacturers should reintroduce MT. 30 years also no problem.

ZF 8HP gearbox is probably the best out there, cause many drag racer love it, that means big power flex.gif
With aftermarket standalone TCU, u can retrofit this gearbox into anything provided if the car has enough space and custom adapter plate made for that engine, u get all the shift mode from BMW / rolls royce + Hellcat features (Transbrake brows.gif )

I change my cars’ GB fluid every year regardless CVT or AT.

Some travelled less than 10k per/year. Just change for peace of mind.

maybe, aunty only jaga the interior, but not exterior. rasa rasa, aunty never take care of the engine and gearbox. engine oil can change every 5k or 10k km. even gearbox oil can change if mau. untuk gearbox, after years of using, can oso add in additives to make it run smoother and last longer.

this proton x70 is CBU or CKD? if CKD, using DCT right? dry or wet type? DCT is sporty transmission but please don't do frequent creeping during heavy traffic jem. gonna break your clutch pack sooner than later.

my 2018 honda city i-dcd DCT dry with 101,000 km still running good to this day.
at 80,000km replaced DCT gb oit.

every 20,000km replace the DCT actuator oil at outside honda mech workshop.

janji no do frequent creeping.

if you happen to stuck in heavy traffic jem going uphill Cameron highland during school holidays especially, say bye bye to your DCT sooner. bye.gif

korean cars has significantly improved since before but as always malaysians still lived in it's old shadow...not willing to accept it

korean cars until today still insist on using conventional auto on their car despite cost because they know it's reliable
even their smaller cars they all put 6AT since 2012 meanwhile those japs only reserve it for D segment or 200k car

I'm curious, how to do no creeping? In our jam conditions, if you leave a few cars gap sure kena horn kaw2, and many others will selit masuk any gap. So far I didn't notice any car practicing no creeping drive style, all bumper to bumper.
