As long as Doctor not rude or blur sotong, I already impressed.
Had food poisoning, went to doctor. The nurse call my name, opened the door but didnt stay, she walked off. I walked in, as I was about to sit down, I notice no one close the door, so i turn back to go close the door. I already notice her gesturing like close the door, didn't even say a word. No courtesies, and before I even sit down, she ask me what my problem. I told her, i think is food poisoning. She said there is no such thing as "you think is food poisoning". I was like wtf, you ask me what my problem is, I tell , and I get fkced. I just totally ignored her after that and go through all my symptoms. She tried to interrupt me, and I was like, pretend I was talking to a wall. Then i mentioned I have been taking a tablet brand XYZ, she said i took wrong meds, it's only for vomit or something. The conversation got a bit heat but after that, only she got the hint then she start being a little bit more professional. When I took the medication from the dispensary, I checked the medication; she gave me the same medication, the tablet brand XYZ,which she said I took wrongly. |

There r people who will prefer their own race when they go to see doctor. Their reasoning? Easier to communicate. While it may be a valid reason for some who only understand their mother tongue, some just does not make sense.
Take my old man for example. He insisting that he want a Chinese doctor and said Chinese is easier for him to communicate. But the problem is... I will be the one that bring him to see the doctor so technically language is never an issue. I ignored his request and get him to see a malay doctor. He merajuk after I made the appointment for him but guess what? He told me he like the doctor after coming out for her clinic. |

QUOTE(knwong @ Dec 4 2025, 02:22 PM) I had runny nose so I went to nearby panel clinic You got greet the malay doc, Salam mualaikum??At the counter the missy ask “Nak jumpa doktor mana? Doktor Cina belum sampai, ada 5 orang queue. Doktor Melayu ada 2 orang queue” I told her no preference, whichever is faster. Time is gold for me. I finish my visit in 15 mins It made thinking - this queue setup is very wrong |

Some are sensitive for their body to be touched even for medical purposes so cannot blame them. But if sekadar tell doctor ada running nose and take temperature, that one also choose then good luck to them.

I prefer the doctor who owns the clinic itself. More accountability and reputation at stake. If can avoid locum
