Yet all the banks trying hard to get you to download their apps. Imagine you lost your phone or it got stolen. Your whole life is in your phone. They are trying to make you very dependent on it.

The analogy is owner lost car key, then blame the car maker not allowed him to use his own car just because he lost the car key.


The core issue is, many people do not realize how important those online security question, password, authenticator, email etc etc truly is. They are all like the house keys, car keys etc. You lost it, and you are in for a lot of troubles. Why so many keys you ask? Then next time don't complain if you are required to keep a national key in the future like MyDigitalID. And same thing happens if you lost that key. 

PBB special case la, the answer doesn't exist coz when u create the account if old account, the secret question wasn't asked. Suddenly they expect old account users for the secret question which u never keyed in the answer when u register. Damn fucked up

if anyone curious ,maybank password sometime got issue and if u want reset password , u can only reset the password every 24 hours which imo is a dumb take but i understand the bank  is trying to protect us

Maybe ur account was compromised aka someone from different ip trying to login. Bersangka baik la, u think bank security choose to specifically kacau u meh

I tried to transfer over 1500 with my phone

Suddenly security question prompt popped up, asking me to write right answer. This bullshit never happened before (the popup)

Naturally I couldn't remember the fucking answer which I could remember if 15 years ago and was locked out.

I spent half an hour waiting for customer service asking my access back.

They said wait 24 hours for their cyber security expert to call back.

I pressed for immediate resolution and they gave me the numbers of their cyber security department.

I called the numbers and no one answered.

We are in 2025 now, and online banking system is useless as fuck.

They will lock you out from the funds you own for shitty reason. (in the name of security)
