don't challenge Moore's

don't challenge transistors in nm.

But but but

They keep saying will more efficient.

But year year 8gen still got overheat issue.

Until now smart phone from having fan last year to got liquid cooling this year already

still using AMDK's EDA system and photoresists from Japan

if CCP can't access to both of these ..

toycar IC also can't make

i highly suspect CCP want their own semicon industry to make their own photoresist (and other tech dependencies), that why I believe the China-Japan row is going to go full retart.

So it means the west keep introducing 8nm 4nm 2nm , smaller and smaller but all the while didn't really maximise their efficiency and capacity.
*
i believe the strategy is to gate keep other ppl from overtaking them. when the 8nm other ppl can make better efficiency,t hen they go to 5nm, to 3nm 2nm, all the while using the EUV to gate keep top tier chips for their own companies to maintain USD hedgemoney.

Snapdragon 8 gen 1-3= 4nm

Snapdragon 8 gen 4-5 = 3nm

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 significantly outperforms the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in benchmarks, with a multi-core Geekbench 6 score that is 46% higher and a total AnTuTu score that is also considerably higher

Gen 4 has higher temps for the push on speed, but not 46% higher temp than gen 3.

it is alot harder to go from 4nm to 3nm, compare from 14nm to 4nm....china will catch up in next few eayrs...

with today's opensource math olympiad level AIs and vibe codings it will be much easier, with next years AGIs, it will be a piece of cake.
