QUOTE(contestchris @ Nov 30 2025, 01:06 AM) and yet later if give too much face to PH will give the impression 30+ kerusi Sabah kowtowing to 1 kerusi federal to the voters.Separate state/federal election really give rise to some funky situation. |

QUOTE(contestchris @ Nov 29 2025, 11:58 PM) The 2025 Sabah state election has once again reminded us that politics in the Land Below the Wind is never straightforward. Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) emerged as the largest bloc with 30 seats, but fell short of the 37 required for a simple majority in the 73‑seat assembly. To secure government, GRS stitched together a coalition with Pakatan Harapan (PH), the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO), and a handful of independents, bringing its tally to 39 seats. Election results aside, elections in east Malaysia hav always been a chaos dimension. Generally Sabahans don really know wat they want & vote based on changing sentiments. Oni to babble wen things don go their way. It's very dificult to help pipul who dowan to help themselves. |

We don't live their lives. Just because your fave party didn't win doesn't mean they made a bad call. Maybe your party's rep just didn't convince enough people. Even independent candidates can snag a win. In Sabah and Sarawak, it's super important to build a strong base. If folks don't know you, they probably won't vote for you, no matter what party you're with. |

QUOTE(RiriRuruRara @ Nov 30 2025, 12:25 AM) No simple majority by any single party, BUT currently GRS has the most leverage thus Hajiji might become CM again. For Anwar? Probably bad. PH only win one even though Anwar turun padang sendiri. DAP eat 8 eggs, total wipeout at chinese majority seats, so a big wake up call for DAP. If DAP still have telur in their pants, probably will start become when they are in oppo which is to start jerit here and there and not diam2 anymore to recent scandals and also more PAS than PAS behaviours, so headache for Anwar. If la, if not then just muka malu sahaja lo for Anwar for now. This post has been edited by zidane28: Nov 30 2025, 12:32 AM |
