Outrageous! Maki Otsuki was abruptly pulled from the stage halfway through her performance at the Bandai Carnival in China, sparking rumors of a complete ban on her Japanese performances.

Amidst escalating tensions between China and Japan following Sanae Takaichi's remarks about "Taiwan issues," a "No Japanese" policy has surfaced on Chinese social media today. In addition to the Ichiroku artist announcing the cancellation of their concerts in China, an even more absurd incident occurred at the ongoing Bandai Carnival in Shanghai. Singer Maki Otsuki was abruptly pulled from the stage halfway through her performance of the One Piece ending theme song!

The Bandai Namco Carnival 2025 is being held in Shanghai from today until November 30th. Besides performances from some of its IPs, it also features performances by Japanese singers. Tonight, Maki Otsuki was scheduled to perform "Memories," the ending theme song from *One Piece*. However, halfway through the song, the lights and screen went completely dark, and the song was abruptly cut off. Otsuki herself was completely bewildered. After a staff member spoke with her, she was quickly escorted away from the venue. Besides the stunned audience, netizens were also astonished: "Is this even allowed?", "This is outrageous!", "A dictatorial country!", "The interruption was incredibly ugly!", "Super inexplicable!", "At least let her finish the song!", "Deliberately humiliating her!", "Too rude!", "Unbelievable!", "This is even more outrageous than canceling before the show even starts!"

Based on information provided by audience members, all stage activities at the Shanghai Bandai Carnival up to November 30th have been suspended, but it's uncertain whether the entire event will be cancelled.

Currently, the Chinese government appears to have issued a decree "completely banning performances by Japanese artists." Today, concerts and fan meetings by artists including Ayumi Hamasaki, natori, SID, Hiroshi Maruyama (Ultraman designer), Yu Wakui, Hanafusa, and Shuka Saito have all been cancelled, prompting many artists to express their regret.

As long as they don't flex their power by bombing, killing, or stealing natural resources, it's hundreds of times better than genocidal bloodthirsty countries that ktards worship.

Yes okay for me, as long as it is done without killing or stealing anything.

Besides, they are sending a message to Japan, that following the Ukraine path to please America is a bad move.

Why not ok? It's their country and they have right to do so? Japan also have right to ban Chinese citizens from entering their country. Just like how US ban entry to citizens of some countries. Whether they are tourists or singers does not matter.

Not every Japanese agree w their PM. By doing this, those on the fence also join the PM side

Okay, this guy makes sense.

But maybe the situation is worse than what the news reported, I mean Japan was never allowed to exercise to safeguard their national interest, but suddenly their owner America allows them to militarize again.

A lot of Japanese like a lot of ktards here has always had bad perception of China whistling.gif

So, why beat around the bush anymore when Japan had stated their official stand. What's the point trying to be nice when the other side are outright challenging you.

Let's be honest here, Japanese PM cause all the trouble and the only solution to cool down situation needs to come from her. Taiwan issue is a national issue to China and it actually threatened CCP indirectly. If CCP lose Taiwan, their standing among the people in China will be badly affected

Nothing new. It has always been like that. US try to find ways n excuses to re-militarise Japan to counter China. Not just today's event.

Their PM won't last long lah. Just officially disagree will do. Now doing this hostile policy might prolong that PM's tenure

Not the only one, even legendary Ayumi Hamasaki was affected.

Petty Communists had plenty of time to decline ahead of time, canceling events right as it happened showed their lack of class.

America is just looking for a fool like Ukraine to weaken China.

The candidates are: Taiwan, Japan, and the Philippines.

You guys remember the South Korean leader who diehard trying to start a war with North Korea by blocking the parliament building?

America is desperate trying every way possible to start another war.

See, I never support any side blindly.

I also don't like the 9-dash line.

BTW it is 10 dash line now lol.

QUOTE
The 10-dash line is a new version of China's previous 9-dash line, which is used to claim sovereignty over a vast majority of the South China Sea. The "10-dash line" is not a new, independent claim but rather an extension of the 9-dash line with an additional dash added east of Taiwan on a new map.

I recall the kill switch was a suggestion, was it ever done to actually halt any concert mid way?

By the way, that proposed measure was targeted at obscene acts by performers e.g. gay kissing etc. Not for political or inter country relationships purpose.

https://epuspal.komunikasi.gov.my/portal/fi...5bE9V1aeI5C.pdf

The kill switch is not a suggestion: it is part of the licencing conditions

It apparently has been used one, as of 21 Sept 2025: https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/se-asia/n...rts-in-malaysia

While they don't want to say it in public, there is a lot of speculation it was pulled during the Borderland Music Festival: https://dayakdaily.com/borderland-music-fes...afety-concerns/

As to why, we don't know, as there was no "obscene performances" up to then (unless you're certain puak, where anything other than a type of sound is a "obscene performance")

Haha, really damn funny — some K-tards love lecturing other countries, padahal their own country also expert at the same thing: boycott here, ban F&B there, cancel concert because “sensitive”, all for some other country’s war.

When they do it, suddenly very justified. When others do it, wah, cannot. The hypocrisy level really Olympic-tier. Always so entitled, but expect everyone else to follow their script. tongue.gif

*
No country have an issue if china wants to reunite with Taiwan through peaceful means. The pre-requisite for Japan to enter the 'war' is when china uses force. Simply don't use force.

Just because china doesn't start any war during WW2 doesn't mean they wouldn't do in the future. Similarly, just because Japan is involve in WW2 doesn't mean she will do it in the future.

So are you saying you're supporting china to start a war for their reunification?

You do know that China's stand is they will only go to war if Taiwan declare independence. That is the line they will not let Taiwan cross. Japan openly saying they will defend Taiwan is basically challenging one China policy and encouraging Taiwan's independence. Worse of all is Japan has a very bad reputation because of WW2. We will not understand because we never suffered a century of humiliation.

The 2005 Anti-Secession Law provides the legal basis for China's use of "non-peaceful means" in specific situations:
-If "Taiwan independence" separatist forces formally declare independence under any name or by any means.
-If "major incidents entailing Taiwan's separation from China" occur.
-If the possibilities for a peaceful reunification are completely exhausted.

Even if Taiwan doesn't declare independence, china reserve the right to use force to reclaim Taiwan.

if you were one of the concert-goer, you ok for your few thousand dollars spent on the show getting cancelled, without getting a cent of refund?

there's no free nationalism in the world cool2.gif

the performer's cut already been credited, so did the venue rental, equipments, marketing expenses etc

in the end, does it hurt Japan a bit?

those actually are elites spinning narratives so that they can manipulate the B40s at the same time to project themselves as "wira pertahankan agama dan bangsa"

3rd tier elites like Shamsul also get paid 700k and expensive cigars, while pipts keep on arguing that vape should be haram

same2 in CCP, those that made loudest noise on Japan, are those rural place pipits that can't even afford a HSR ticket to Beijing/Shanghai

This is a weird comparison. Then why did china bother to sign the Japan–China Joint Communiqué? If they (japanese) are robbers, then don't accept any investments from Japan. China should immediately cut ties with Japan.

People who think they are just throwing tantrums underestimate just how important reunification agenda is to them. They will literally do anything for reunification. What they have done so far is kecik miao only and they are exercising a lot of restraint so far. Be prepared for more escalation, I wouldn't be surprised if diplomatic ties is cut off and eventually designated as enemy state. All because Takaichi mulut itchy and pride don't want to maintain one China policy which her predecessors signed on to and honored for decades.

You think they meroyan now? You haven't seen nothing yet.

It is much more efficient to depopulate with some virus or its vaccine "solution" rather than through war.

And much more acceptable by everyone too. See below for example.

By your logic, I hope you will trust an ex-convict of armed robbery to look after your parent's house than to trust any other normal person.
*
Wrong use of logic here because going by your logic, should you also be labelled as a robber if your grandfather has committed an armed robbery?

The more accurate one would be:

“Do you trust the grandson of a robber who displays little to no tendency to rob or the grandson of a normal person who displays robbing tendency (the 9-dash line claim for eg)?”

The idea here is that we should judge based on the current actions of both countries, not on their past actions because it involves different generations of people.

Therefore, it follows that the one who shows more hostility would be the one who is more likely to start a war. Plus we conveniently forget the fact that Japan does not currently have enough capabilities to start a war while China does. So who is more likely to start a war between the two?

This is a weird comparison. Then why did china bother to sign the Japan–China Joint Communiqué? If they (japanese) are robbers, then don't accept any investments from Japan. China should immediately cut ties with Japan.
*
Fact is Japanese massacred millions of East Asians and South East Asians during their occupation. They are clearly the aggressor during WW2. China did NOT kill millions by invading other country. Now that 80 years have passed, many are calling to move on because it is "in the past". Hence my comparison of Japan as an ex-robber is correct.

Accepting investments and have peace with Japan is akin to have peace with a robber and to do business. A rational thing to do if you don't have a choice, aka it is just a neighbour. But that not mean that when it comes to colonial tendencies, both China and Japan are the same. Far from it. One is an ex-robber, one stick to its own borders. Big difference.

On Taiwan, it is clearly China's internal matters. Since you brought up the Communique, it clearly states "The Government of the People's Republic of China reiterates that Taiwan is an inalienable part of the territory of the People's Republic of China. The Government of Japan fully understands and respects this stance of the Government of the People's Republic of China, and it firmly maintains its stand under Article 8 of the Potsdam Proclamation.". So who is Japan to interfere, regardless if China invades Taiwan or not?

Seems like you are selective in your reading of the Communique.

Takaichi on Friday told the Japanese parliament that a Taiwan contingency involving the use of military force could be interpreted as a “survival-threatening situation” for Japan, which could allow Tokyo to engage in military action alongside US forces.

Takaichi clearly stated it will intervene in China's internal affairs. How is this not aggression?

Has China threaten Japan militarily. From what I see, most of China's response has been economic. A far cry from threatening war. Really funny you guys, always side with the one who clearly had massacred millions before.

AI doesn't think so.

AI Overview
No, the 1972 Japan-China Joint Communiqué states Japan "fully understands and respects" the PRC's position that "Taiwan is an inalienable part of the territory of the People's Republic of China," but it does not explicitly "acknowledge" that Taiwan belongs to China. This distinction reflects Japan's continued ambiguity and its insistence on complying with the Potsdam Declaration

This is exactly being said by Japan PM.

Meaning to say, if China invaded Taiwan and USA chooses to defend Taiwan, Japan is obliged to assist in providing bases etc under Japan-USA security treaty.
That is a big IF judging from current Trump administration stance on Ukraine-Russia now. hmm.gif

Which part of this do you not understand?

As long as your beloved & peace loving CCP does not use military force, then everything would be fine.

The fact that they are so butthurt means that they really do intend to use military force, so yeah it’s not as far cry as you claimed.

It’s the same as telling the police not to interfere because it’s a family matter when one intends to murder their own family member lel.

By your logic, China also massacred their own by the millions la so why you sided with China?

You want to support a country that intends to kill people in order to reclaim Taiwan is your pasal, but don’t tell people BS like China is some kind of saint that would never wage war.

Finally someone agrees that Japan will participate in war. You yourself said it, Japan will "defend" Taiwan. The difference is you do not believe that Taiwan belongs to China. But in almost every major international agreement, Taiwan is recognised as part of China.

So if Japan "defends" Taiwan, is that not meddling in internal affairs and in essence a declaration of war?

Imagine if Malaysia "defends" Rohingya in Myanmar by sending troops to Myanmar. Tell me that it is not an invasion.

Takaichi on Friday told the Japanese parliament that a Taiwan contingency involving the use of military force could be interpreted as a “survival-threatening situation” for Japan, which could allow Tokyo to engage in military action alongside US forces.

Amboi... Suka hati like to put words in my mouth. Your extrapolation is to typical of those washed by Western propaganda.

All of my posts above has been on Japan and China's recent spat, which is started by Japan's PM. That has been compared to the past where Japan pulled off the same excuse to invade Korea and China.

I did not say anything about supporting millions killed during their own civil war in China. You are soooo blinded by hatred towards China that you cannot even look at matters independently. I am completely against SCS troops being positioned by China. I also think 10 dash line is BS.

But in this case, it is clear that Japan is in the wrong. It is you guys that are completely brainwashed. What a joke.

Tell me that it is not an invasion.

u should say if Langkawi under attack Thailand will defend it

Langkawi belong to thailand?

So who report my post? Which part of what I said is wrong?

The Rohingya have not been self-governing and they have not been living peacefully with the Myanmar people. When was the last time Taiwan attacked China?

You can see from Wolf Warrior comments, they do not see it that way. Wolf Warriors said Japan shouldn't interfere with China's "domestic issue".

I repeat, the number 1 thing Chinese armies in history are good at, is killing Chinese people.

I didn't report your post and I don't know who.

What you said on Japan "defending" Taiwan is wrong. That is an invasion and meddling with internal affairs.

If your selective definition is "self-governing", then Wa and parts of Shan states has been self governing for a long time. So if Malaysia sends troop to "defend", then it is not invasion? Please tell me.

Finally. See the flaw in your own logic?

Don't be so blinded by Western propaganda. China is no saint, but Japan is worse when it comes to war if we look at the past century. But China is much better than what Western media reports.

Case in point. China just released a White Paper 2 days ago, in the middle of their tensions with Japan.

China has reiterated on numerous occasions that nuclear weapons must never be used and that a nuclear war must never be fought. From the day it came into possession of these weapons, China has advocated their complete prohibition and thorough destruction. China has always remained committed to the principle of no-first-use of nuclear weapons at any time and under any circumstances, and unconditionally undertakes not to use or threaten to use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear-weapon states or nuclear-weapon-free zones.

On the other hand, Japan keeps talking about increasing military spending. Now you tell me who is provoking who?

QUOTE(Adrian909 @ Nov 29 2025, 12:03 PM)
The 2005 Anti-Secession Law provides the legal basis for China's use of "non-peaceful means" in specific situations:
-If "Taiwan independence" separatist forces formally declare independence under any name or by any means.
-If "major incidents entailing Taiwan's separation from China" occur.
-If the possibilities for a peaceful reunification are completely exhausted.

Even if Taiwan doesn't declare independence, china reserve the right to use force to reclaim Taiwan.
*
The option to use force has been there since Mao's time. Why? It's still a civil war that has not officially ended. If you look at whatever coming out from CCP, it's always about Taiwan independence. That is the line they will not tolerate. Do you think China want a war? Do you think they don't know the consequences of having a war so near their mainland? More importantly, do you think Taiwanese are so stupid to cross that line after seeing what happened to Ukraine?

Taiwanese has always been voting very wisely. People see DPP has the president but in reality if you look at the last presidential election, 60% of Taiwanese vote for status quo. Look at how much China Taiwan trade has been going the past few decades. Millions of Taiwanese today are in mainland doing biz and working. Do you think Taiwanese want to jeopardize what they have today when they are enjoying best of both worlds.

Haha thinking through, it’s quite fascinating.

You see, the current difference between CN versus MY in wider context is this:

In CN, the gov just goes ahead and does something, and only afterwards do the people start commenting.

In MY, it’s the complete opposite — the people complain and make noise first, and only then does the gov take action.

Lol what? In your mind anyone who doesn't support China = AMDK? Please la not everyone is like you die die wanna be a wumao who classifies anyone who does not support China as AMDK. There can be another party who refuses to be sheep and have independent & logical thinking.

I did not put words in your mouth. You started it by saying why people like me like to support Japan who killed millions - so I posed the question back to you, why are you supporting China who did the same lol - you see how stupid it sounded when you made that stupid assumption?

Instead of replying my arguments properly, you chose to employ fallacious arguments, claiming that I support Japan because I hate China - a clear ad hominem attack.

You should really stop projecting lmao - it seems that it is your strong hatred towards Japan that is clouding your judgement instead.

Don't run from proper arguments with your "ohhh you are wrong because you were brainwashed by the western countries and hate China". Like wtf, stick to the topic and form proper arguments.

How is Japan wrong when all the PM said is "if China does xxx, then we MAY be forced to do xxx"?

Japan is merely trying to prevent a war because guess what happens when there is no one to supervise a bully?

You know you have no proper arguments so that's why you kept referring to the "past". Stick to the present please.

It's a simple series of questions:

1) Do you support war?
2) If the answer is no to (1), do you support someone stopping the war via deterrence?
3) If the answer is yes to (2), then Japan is not wrong at all.
4) If the answer is no to (2), then it means you support war.

Anyway, no use talking to someone who couldn't form proper arguments and just regurgitate the same ad hominem attack: "you were brainwashed", "you hate China", "you support Japan". I am out.
