Civic have relatively high RV. My last 3 cars are all Honda Civics. If you plan tu sell within your loan period, you would care about resale value. If you take 9 year loan or low downpayment, you would care about resale value - if accident total loss, really difficult.

My current car is a BYD EV. I know this car may have low or negligible resale value, thus I plan to use it for at least 6-7 years. I understand and prepared for it. Why gaduh2 don’t want to buy car because no resale value, is simply because they can’t afford to lose that kind of money - thus, not the brand/car target market.

Cannot compare car with property lah, car can be manufacture anytime, property will be forever cap depending on land area nearby, 200 units mean it is 200 units, no way developer can increase unit anymore.

The resale or more importantly market value is crucial to determine factors like insurance coverage and outstanding loan amount.

If you take too long loan period and at any point, loan amount is more than your car insured value, then in a total loss situation, you lose the car and still need to settle outstanding bank loan immediately.
