Those with substantial amount of cash that want to put as deposit, SCB might offer good credit card for lounge access (but not for points to redeem air ticket).

For me, better choices will be CIMB Preferred. (great for lounge access and 'good enough' to collect point for oversea spending).

I use SCB because they have share platform. Buy some good blue chip shares and those count towards your premier status.

There are very practical reason. Do you people have the habit of taking a shower before going to sleep at night? Flight to Europe takes about 14 hours generally depart midnight. Having a place to shower before boarding is great.

Yup, this is correct. My case is a bit difference, i was opening the private account together with some very rich persons, so the guy got to do it even if i told him i was not interested on anything other than the FD (especially foreign currency FD).

Maybe you can consider AMEX Platinum. The Annual fee could effectively be less than the amount of opportunity loss by putting big amount in FD.
Although already confirm will increase AF price next year.
That aside, can look at Maybank World Elite Mastercard as well.
Do you need high frequency, or high headcount. Because I had high headcount problem as well so Card with 'Additional 1 guest' helps a lot

Then Platinum charge card comes with Priority Pass. You can use that to bring in another person. And if you have the A/C card, another can go in, other than your primary card. But someone said they no longer issue the A/C card anymore. Need to check for the latest.
